G	Goh Jacqueline on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today, my kaya butter toast was not hot at all. Even the butter was not melted at all. Tasted horrible, unlike previous occasions where i really enjoyed it. So disappointing! Staff did not bother to do a proper job. The toast bread was handed to me shortly after i ordered. It was a fast and quick job done at the expense of quality. Visited Ya Kun again on 2 July 2022. This time, i reminded the staff to make the kaya butter toast hot. But, it was slightly hot on one side of toast only. Staff have forgotten about the other side. Did not enjoy the toast bread. Looks like it is a new staff who has no experience, lack skill and training to perform the task well. Wonder if this outlet is franchise. Noticed that some other outlets, toast bread tasted better. Why is standard so inconsistent?

Their brown toast is grilled to perfection with generous butter and kaya. Their kopi is served fresh and piping hot. This outlet has ample seats but the kitchen is a bit small so you might need to wait a but for your toast. The staff can be a bit hectic during peak hours but it adds to the experience of a neighbourhood coffee shop despite being inside a mall.
