Watched the glowing review on sethlui and came here. Ordered the $5.50 seafood combo noodle superior soup. The soup is on the light, clear side. Has a natural sweetness from the ingredients used for the stock. You can drink a whole bowl easily. But it does not taste like typical ban mian soup - not a good/bad thing. Their own signboard pictures are misleading. Click through my pictures: check out the meatball size in the signboard, then look at the actual meatball size. Should be called meat-pebble instead. 3 meat pebbles, 2 tiny prawns, 2 small fish chunks. Overall ingredient portion is seriously miserable for the price point and the stall's location If the meat-pebble taste was amazing, maybe there could be some redemption. But it is seasoned like a xiao long bao meat filling, except in a meatball form. Like eating a naked xiao long bao dry filling-without-broth. Maybe some people like that. The ban mian noodles themselves are.. run-of-the-mill. You get the same deal at any other ban mian stall (Qiu Lian and the usual suspects). The noodle portion is maybe 60% that of other ban mian stalls. For me that was a good thing since normally ban mian stalls just drown you with noodles. Unforgettable bowl of ban mian - in the worst possible way.

Sensed that the owners have put a lot of work into the noodles. It had an unique fragrance in the noodles that is not found in other ban mian. The ingredients used were fresh and can feel the crunch from the crispy ikan bilis. Superb bowl of ban mian ?

Ordered meatballs banmian soup with fried dumplings. I love the soup, savoury yet after finishing it, i don't feel thirsty. Banmian is cooked just nice but other that these, this feels like a normal ban mian, nothing special.

Noodles are great. Had both the dried and soup type. The best ban mian I’ve had so far. But the que is long so be warned. Friendly proprietors too! Edit: we were back there again the past 2 weekends. Much less crowded now so this is the time to try if you were thinking of it

The dry ban Mian is better than average however slightly oily as they put a tablespoon sort of oil in it with the other sauces. The soup is pretty light and seems healthy. Price wise is slightly higher than average due to the seafood ingredients added

Ordered a handmade pork meat ball with mian xian and also a celery & onion pork dumpling to share. noodles was nicely cook, soup was light flvourful. Simple comfort food. Dumpling was nicely fried, chili was provided for the pork dumpling which was a plesant complement with the dumpling.

Worth the trip all the way from the north. high quality ingredients used and noodles are well cooked and firm. The soup is clear, tasty and filled with umami. Their fried dumplings are also very crispy! Would recommend anyone with ban mian or noodle cravings to give this place a visit

Delicious dry chili ban mian comes with variety of topping (prawn, fried fish, fried wonton, pork meat) which satisfied our craving this morning. Ban mian was cooked perfectly and the portion given was just nice. The fried ikan bilis gave another dimension of taste (saltiness) besides of sweet taste from dark soya sauce and the spicy taste from the chili. The given dipping sauce taste was also nice and different from other stall. As overall, it’s delicious dry chili ban mian and worth for another visit next time. The only cons was the clear soup which better to be served hot.
