Best Restaurant in Singapore

A	A C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (This review is from 3 years ago. Edited it and it became a recent review somehow.) Paid $64 for two for very little veggies and one plate of meat my friend ordered. The meat she said had bones in it and ruined her eating experience. What more ruined the experience was their soup base had small insects floating which we noticed only after it stopped boiling in the end. See attached image. I also isolated one insect on my plate while eating. I suspect the insects came from the meat! Nothing was done to address this issue when pointed out except a sorry by the manager. But amazingly the restaurant was full when we went on Saturday night and definitely under staffed. But the staff were working like crazy trying to do their best. Please add more staff and improve the quality of meats. Or reduce the prices to unlimited standard buffet for 30++ we pay for each. Everything else good from ambiance to service.
l	laybit on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked past the restaurant many times and always wanted to try their chicken rice set cos there is always a unique fragrance from the restaurant, filling the Civic Centre. Was utterly disappointed when I went to dabao today. Chicken was cold and tasteless, rice was cold too; chilli had a sourish taste. The only thing nice was the small bowl of pork rib soup which was the only dish that was warm. Agree with others in the reviews - any coffeeshop’s chicken rice surely tastes better than this!
P	PH Tan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been this restaurant once thought it can maintain the standard. However this time round it is disappointing. We ordered the 138$ set dinner. The food is so so and oily. The pork rib is hard and the prawn is salty. The most disappointing is the chicken Meat dish sold out. The better one is the tofu (appetizer) and the coconut soup. Actually I want to give one star but my wife is Hainanise and ask me to give two star instead.

a	aly on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we ordered the 2-3 people $58++ set (which is cheaper when taking away!) and really enjoyed it!! Highlight of the set is definitely the coconut chicken soup (not pictured) but the soup is so refreshing and unique to Yeh Ting! Other dishes were good as well, very good with the oily rice tried the lunch set today, do not recommend the hainan fen (came cold and flavourless)
L	Le Rock Steady on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had chicken soup with coconut & Hainanese fen. It is a clear broth with sweetness impart by fresh coconut flesh & delicious. To be frank, it is rather bland, hence may not be for those who prefers more savoury flavours. It's my personal preference. Coconut based Hainanese cuisine is quite unknown here, so this is a place to try traditional Hainanese cuisine. The cooks are Hainanese from Hainan, so guess the taste should be authentic. The staff here are friendly.

Z	Zatarie Hoe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is okay-ish service is great! Did not really like the coconut soup chicken but it might be my personal taste —> prefer savoury to sweet! Fish wasn’t great, just normal! I love the pork and tofu! Those 2 dishes are definitely worth buying. Their fragrant chicken rice is good too! Definitely a buy!
