My first and last visit to this zi char stall. We ordered a medium size fishhead steamboat, 12 pieces of prawn paste mid-wings, braised tou-fu, sambal stir-fry sweet potato leaf, claypot mee tai mak which was supposed to be their signature dish and a San-lao hor fun. All tasted bland except for the prawn paste chicken. Service was terribly slow though less than 5 tables were occupied and all dishes were served separately which was supposed to be eaten together. Overall, had never had such lousy zi-char for the longest time and it's such a disappointment. Avoid at all cost. When we requested to pack the sweet potato leaves because we could not finish as it tasted too bland and decided to bring back and add better seasoning, the staff just poured it into a plastic bag! Total damage is $102 and the ingredients such as the minced pork in the mee tai mak is really pathetic, a teaspoon of minced pork in the entire claypot...

Having the food takeaway because of Covid19. We ordered the popular Curry Horfun with Chicken, Claypot Prawn Bee Hoon. The horfun was great. I think it is basically horfun cooked in Curry Fish Head sauce. The flavours and textures separately are familiar, but the combination is innovative and it turned out great. The prawn bee hoon was served with big prawns, in a very generous amount. The taste was good. I can only imagine they taste better if eaten at the location. I ordered through phone, and opt for self pickup. Somehow didn’t managed to find them on GrabFood. At the location it looks like it is cash only.

The claypot mee tai bak was warm and comforting on a rainy afternoon. A little on the salty side for me, yet still worth dropping by if ur in the area to show your support for this zichar.

Claypot Mi Tai Bak is the bomb. Worth coming here for it. Do note that it is slightly pricey for 1 pax. Buy bigger size machiam like give you a tupperware.

Looking for Zhi char this is the place to explore. Ordered the curry hor fun and the hor fun has so much wok hei taste and blend well with the curry consistency. Spicy level is moderate hence it’s not too overwhelming.

Claypot Mee Tai Mak + Curry Chicken Hor Fun [total under $12] Quite impressed with the innovative menu they have here! The claypot mtm tasted alot like wet black carrot cake and the curry hor fun is surprisingly very similar to the curry fish head gravy and bonus for wok hey! Would come back to try their other dishes and the 24hr dim sum stall right beside

Very nice claypot lao shu fen, after mixing the egg the taste has the fragrance of the egg, closest to the ones I have tried in Malaysia. The curry hor fun has nice curry. Si Ji Dou is crispy and goes very well with the shrimp bits.

Ordered the Fish head Steamboat, Black Sauce Chicken, Prawn Toufu. Enjoyed them all. The prawn toufu is like soaked in the chilli crab sauce....YUMMY!!!The price is also very attractive! 4 persons and less than $80. Will RECOMMEND! However, on weekends either you go early say 5.30pm or later after 7.30pm. This will allow you to miss the crowd.
