Food is affordable. Need to wait. Auntie abit rude but good food often has bad mannered auntie. Just eat and heck the customer service. BTW can refill soup. #tipoftheday

The steam boat soup is tasty but be prepared that u will get thirsty later on after the meal. The big prawn toufu, prawn paste chicken wings and chilli kang kong are a must to order. U need to know where to queue to order. The person taking the order is usually not in a good mood. Overall, the meal is nice.

Fish soup is nice but service suck big time. They are unwilling to refill the soup despite saying we can ask for refill because they think that we cannot finish the soup. End up we 2 pax still finished the whole pot of soup. Fish soup lover like me prefer soup more than the fish. Super bad sevice to me

Long time steamboat place since 90s maybe & is very affordable with good soup & fish. Had a red grouper steamboat $25 for 2 pax. Their beancurd with prawns is worth a try.

Awesome soup base which is really tasty and flavourful. The hae chou and the prawns were just alright. Will return only for the fish soup.

This brought me back to the time when my gong gong brought me to a coffee shop for the first time. Chaotic, hot, steaming pots everywhere. Nobody knows where the queue starts, an auntie is screaming somewhere, yet it all works and you get delicious food. If you come, come prepared, queue for a table beside the drink counter, then queue to place your food in front. I got Red Grouper steamboat, beancurd prawns, sambal kang kong. Dishes were fragrant and scrumptious, they gave a huge mound of rice which quickly disappeared after being inundated by sauce and soup alike. Come early!

Super value. I think they serve the best steamboat within their price range. Much cheaper than their competition in whampoa and South bridge road. The downside is the location. It's a little rundown and not the greatest service too.

Deserves a one star for the whole experience. Had fish steamboat, prawn with beancurd, coffee pork ribs and kangkong. Fish in the steamboat was fresh but the soup base fell a little flat considering the lack of depth in flavour and it was overly seasoned with salt. Kangkong was alright but there was sand in it. Coffee pork ribs was good. The much raved prawn with beancurd was a disappointment. Prawns were not fresh and felt mushy, and the dish was warm and not hot when it arrived. Customer service is lacking. Lady at the drinks stall (I'm assuming she's the owner) refused my order of teh o, she asked me why I want to drink a hot drink when the day was hot (we were there at night by the way). I could have asked her back, why sell your steamboat then. Anyway moving on, she also started clearing my table even before we were done. Also one of the servers knocked our cup of ice on the table, spilling water and ice and didn't even bother to wipe the table after, leaving water to drip on my shorts. Had to call her back to wipe it up. Lousy food and poor service, good luck to your business.
