99 Percent Hair Studio @ Orchard Central

Please DO NOT visit this salon!! (I left the same review on their Haji Lane outlet as that is the one I went to and they responded with their Orchard Central reply template LOL They definitely do not care at all!) My first experience at 99 percent was unfortunately not a pleasant one. While the customer service is excellent, I'm afraid the same cannot be said about the haircut. Perhaps I was just unlucky or maybe haircutting is not their strong point, though I think every salon should at least be decent at giving haircuts. I asked for a very simple cut: blunt, same length throughout, with a few front pieces to frame my face. When I showed some sample photos, the stylist seemed confident and I was very sure this could not go wrong. But it did, my blunt cut turned out to be quite choppy and uneven at the ends, even though I specifically asked for a **blunt** cut. For the pieces to frame my face, they were cut at a very awkward length, ending at my lips and they do nothing to enhace my face shape, in fact, they make my face looks angular/wider, almost squarish when I do not have a square face! Furthermore, I realised the next day that both sections of the front pieces are not even! I will have to live with these for at least the next 4-5 months and I really feel awful about this... Probably the stylist did not understand my very simple requirements or was it just a bad day? Or might it be because I was using the $50 first-timer voucher and just requested for a haircut? (Though to be fair, I did give a good tip at the end of my session-which I should NOT have!!) This shall be my first and last time at this salon.

I went to Ann Lye today for a haircut and the experience was wonderful! She was really professional and patient, clarifying with me what was the precise haircut that I wanted. Even though my hair is straight and the hairdo I wanted was curled, she cut it so well that when I styled it at home it was exactly like the photo I showed her! ^o^ very happy with the results

Happy with my haircut today. Hairstylist Shan gave good recommendation and delivered a haircut that I'm satisfied. No pushing of products or packages and best of all, 1st timer like me get $50 off on weekdays, my haircut was only $9!

Professional hairstylists, great ambience and good customer service. However, the haircut i received was recommended by my hairstylist and is honestly not quite the hairstyle i liked. The sides and back were cut nicely but my fringe was cut way too short to my liking. I have to say that despite the hairstylist’s recommendations on how my hair should be cut, i was quite unhappy with the end result. But this should not mask the fact that they are skilled. Maybe it’s just because my hair is just too thin and soft to have a nice haircut which fits me. Nevertheless, they did a wonderful job cutting my girlfriend’s hair so kudos to her hairstylist. Would recommend this place for girls to do their hair but maybe guys should think twice. Nevertheless, thanks for your professionalism and this experience.

It’s been 3-4 years since I’ve been with 99Percent. Always a great experience, especially their customer service. My stylist has always been Aron. He is friendly and considerate. During my visit, he will make sure I'm comfortable and explain why things need to be done. There's never a time I leave that place unsatisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had a really nice hair coloring & treatment! Will add to Aron Oh’s glowing reviews - he really is very kind, understanding, and committed to giving you the full salon experience. He helped me pick a treatment that was affordable and was really not overly pushy about it. The coloring service was quick & well customized to what I wanted. The head massage was excellent and I also got a lot of good advice on washing and maintaining my hair! Would recommend.

Initially couldn't decide between colouring or doing highlights but Fion, my stylist, gave really clear recommendations that suits what I was looking for! Even though the entire process was so long (almost 5 hrs), all the staffs made me feel comfortable, checking up on me if i needed to use the restroom. Really love the environment and how my hair turned out ? Thank you Fion and all 99 percent staffs! Look at how gorgeous this hair is

I was managed by Nicole and I must say she was fabulous. She listened to my ideas, suggested her own based on experience and knowledge and was gentle throughout the experience. Had a whole head colour done with bleaching. Chose a Ash grey blue colour and Nicole suggested striking blue sideburns which I think are just awesome. Loving my new hair cut, style and colour! Will definitely be making another appointment with her in the future.
