I came here cause the porridge isn’t bad. However today when I came, I was sweaty after exercising and wanted to sit outside. The cashier told me cannot and said she already picked a 2 person seat for me and my husband. What’s worse is the tables outside had 2 people on all the outside tables and I said I only wanna eat a quick one and leave. She insisted no and said she would be combining the tables outside. Now that I’m done eating, the tables are empty outside and what is most disappointing is, 2 person came and she let them sit outside? I know it’s a small matter but please be consistent and it’s really disappointing. My husband and I didn’t order very little things. We ordered 2 porridge, a vege and one raw fish and drinks and we had to shift the drinks and all to fit the table.

The porridge and side dishes are very comforting, got the homely feels. The chai po omelette is super goooood! Will order again when I’m there. The century egg and youtiao are must have dishes with the vegetable porridge :’)

Porridge is smooth and not salty. But I don’t like the you tiao.. i would prefer the you tiao to be crispy and hot. The plate of raw fish cost $11 that I don’t feel value for money. We also tried their soya beancurd. We are surprised they don’t served hot beancurd. Both original and almond failed from our liking.

The porridge Is getting expensive. They added other varieties of food that may not relevance to porridge place. Cost $28 for a lunch meal with my wife. Porridge remains good and love the nostalgia taste. The steam chicken with garlic is tasteless and the fried bean sprouts just normal.

The ginger cold chicken is delicious, it's soft and tender, there are a little bone which is alright. The chilli goes well with the chicken and gives it a kick. Porridge is boiling hot, it more towards the thick side of the texture. Century eggs and pork goes well with the porridge, you can add a chicken egg to boost the flavour. The you tiao adds some saltiness to the dish. Price is decent

Have not visit this porridge place for years…ordered a mix pork porridge and was surprised that their porridge is still as yummy as before. The pig liver and slice pork is fresh and soft. Great comfort food, especially on a rainy day.

Whenever I pop by Ah Chiang's, I go for my usual century egg porridge with extra egg. Prices definitely slowly creep up over the years but menu items remain value for money. I appreciate the porridge is not too salty when it is served. This way, i can choose to add as much soy sauce as I want to adjust the flavour to my liking. Standards have been consistent across all my visits over the past 3 years. Noice!

Fine dining service standard provided by the auntie who was responsible for setting and cleaning our tables. Nice ambience too as it was airy and set in an old school kopitiam. The menu was diverse, offering many items besides porridges. Unfortunately, the food quality was so so only. The bean curd was the pudding type.
