β β β β β This is my first time using the AIG Hotline & my first interaction with AIG. I tried buying one of their policies online & their system got hung but money was debited from my credit card.
I could not have a worst experience dealing with a hotline service & even their online contact service did not fare any better, making it almost impossible to contact AIG.

β β β β β An agent called me today to tell me about their shopee deal and was talking non-stop after saying I'm held up with some calls. Didn't inform me that the call was being recorded! It is highly unethical and against the law to not inform someone a call is being recorded right at the beginning!
because of this I'm highly uncomfortable. I'm not interested in getting anything in return. The fact that they have to resort to a deal with shopee means they probably aren't a great insurance company anyway ....
Be sincere & stop copying the template. Almost all the replies from the owner are the same. "Hi, this shouldnβt happen and we are sorry for your experience. At AIG, we strive for service excellence. Please PM us your contact number via our Facebook messenger" OHHH PLEASE!!

β β β β β Told that i was a lucky person to be chosen for a AIG diamond plan. So without seeing what AIG was about, i proceeded with the lowest plan to see how it goes. The next day i regretted and saw the bad reviews about their services. I asked for a refund and its been a month that my refund is still not in. Not recommended at all.

Refund received after 1 month.

β β β β β Been trying to help my mother in law to cancel her home insurance ever since she sold her house last year but despite multiple calls and sending in an enquiry via the website, we received no response or callbacks. She was charged for the insurance because she could not reach anyone to cancel it. Kindly contact us for ref no. CS659343 please. Thanks.

β β β β β I purchased my travel insurance on Saturday but there was no immediate issuance of the policy. Their hotline only operates Monday to Friday 0900-1700 so I waited till Monday.
I tried calling at different timings countless time but my calls were always hanged up "as all our operators are busy". I left voice message and sent in online enquiry form highlighted that this is a very urgent issue as it is related to my VTL trip, if I don't get the policy in time I won't be able to apply for pass to board my plane. However, nothing, no replies at all.
I called again the next day, I have to get into other insurance instead of travel insurance while choosing from the menu in order to get an operator to speak to me. The operator kindly offered to mark it as an urgent matter for the travel insurance team to contact me on the same day. But, nothing again, no replies at all. I called again before 5pm as there was no reply as promised. Only this time then the operator told me that there was a system problem, all purchase happened during weekend are not recorded in their system. This is totally unacceptable! If there is such big problem going on, they should have actively reached out to customers who have left voice message and online queries forms! I highlighted again to the operator that I will need that policy by the next day, they again then promised me that they will update me no matter what the result is. But, AGAIN, NO REPLIES AT ALL.
I have ruined 3 days of work just because of this very unprofessional and unresponsive service. And until now I still have to spend another day again to call for refund!
I will never ever purchase any product from AIG again. Never!

β β β β β Just got a call from them regarding Aig with circle life x Xmas wonderland event and they giving away some insurance deal after hearing what the person had explain to me, I decided to have more time to give a thought about it, because I definitely would like to discuss with my family or friends before I decided to apply it and then he straight forward say so you not interested in the plan ? From here onwards I notice he already annoyed and I decided to just tell him truthfully I am not interested and he goes on sarcastically said like that better then and proceed to hang up the phone quickly, such a bad experience no wonder got so many bad reviews :/

β β β β β Three different agents have called me to get me to buy plans, and two have refused to send me policy details until after I've made payment. They also ask for. Your credit card details. I understand from one that they're also calling students. While there is a free look policy, this practice of getting people to sign up first before they even view the full plan details is pretty suspicious. Even if it's to hit KPI, this shouldn't be standard practice.

β β β β β I bought travel insurance in 2021 bit due to sudden surged in Covid cases in Europe, our trip was cancelled n my agency was informed of trip cancellation in advance but was told it can't be refunded. I informed AIG about this incident and aftter investigation and was promised a refund. Now it's been 3months or more and after multiple attempts n was made promise that mi will get a refund. Sad to say toll now have not receive any updates. AIG. When a large organization has very poor customers service. I regret buying a y policy from them and will never again.
