★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took their car insurance 6 months ago. Be careful on auto-renewal clause, I realized they auto renewed my policy without my consent and my credit card was charged for the renewal. However, upon an simple email request to cancel the auto-renewal & stop further recurring debiting of my credit card (auto-renewed policy have not started yet), they responded to it within 2 emails & matter of days. I was expecting them drag this along or throw up more roadblocks for my cancellation request. To my pleasant surprise, it was settled efficiently hassle-free. Good service recovery and thank you to the customer service team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nightmare to claim travel insurance. Requires a ton of documents compared to FWD, and pro-rates hotel claims if you have 2 people in the room. Takes forever to respond. Never again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I almost changed my insurance thinking it was a good deal from DirectAsia, but only got to know from their agent at the last minute that their private car insurance DO NOT COVER carpooling/hitching services. So if drivers take passengers, you are a sitting duck on the road. I find this strange as their website says they do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They tried to boost my insurance cost by >50% after I got hit by somebody at a stoplight. Other party fully at fault, video recording so no doubt, no claim to DirectAsia, notification to DirectAsia within 10 minutes of the accident., confirmation of no impact to NCD. And then they had the temerity to lie to me and say the increase would be due to 'inflation' when they instead knocked down my NCD.
Terrible service, deceptive customer service, horrible experience.

I booed my travel insurance and I called their emergency hotline , mentioned as 24/7 and realised that emergency hotline only works between 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Don’t expect response to your email until you call and call
If you are lucky will be able to connect with a customer care executive.
Many times line get disconnected after a long wait.
I could have looked into previous comments before buying insurance from Direct Asia
