Ann Chin Popiah - 22 Sin Ming Rd

Enjoyed the popiah - especially the fresh skin and warm fillings.

Popiah is good as with all other Ann Chin franchise. But be prepared for lady (boss?) attitude; did not bother to attend to me even though i was standing right in front of her for a good 5 mins trying to get her attn. She seems to be very friendly w old timers though, could see them from many stalls away. Good luck.

Maybe it's just me, but the $2 popiah is very very ordinary. Ditto for the rest of the items. Overpriced. Quite inconsistent wrapping standard since I buy it every 2 weeks. The previous malay lady (ladies?) wrapped very nice and huge popiahs with thick skins (cannot see the sauces soaking through). Current china lady (fair, middle age, Tuesdays) is good too and she was always early to setup everything and prepared almost all the food by the time i reach around 7:50am. The replacements are usually poorer (singapore auntie, another younger fair lady from china on a recent thursday). Popiahs with sauces soaking through the skin. Very small and crooked popiahs. And they were always rushing around trying to get the items set up when I reach at 7:50am. Once the popiahs station wasn't ready and had to wait until 8+am. The other time the popiah is ready but none of the fried items are ready. Presentation is important. A normal popiah wrapped nicely and generously will make the customer feel ok with spending $2. A normal $2 small and mushy popiah poorly wrapped is just ..... It's true that 8am is their official opening hour (according to Google map). But from the looks of it I doubt they will be ready by 8am. Will add photos of bad popiahs next time I witness it. Will give more stars if the popiahs wrapping standard finally becomes consistent as I stay nearby.

Chanced upon this while I was waiting for my food at the other stalls at another coffee shop. Bought 2 rolls of popiah back home and they were still good after 30 mins. Popiah fillings was firm and skin fresh and soft. Chilli wasn’t over powering and overall was excellent. One of the best popiah I’ve ever tasted.

Superb popiah with the right dark sauce and chilli. It’s taste are very different from other popiah stalls. Open till 5-6pm ish. There have a fee couple of same branches located in AMK etc.

Tried the Chee Chong Fun at $1.70 for 2 pieces and the Popiah. Chee Chong Fun is generous with the sauce and the fried shallots gives a nice crunch to the bite . The Popiah skin is not the soggy kind and fillings are satisfactory as well. Each piece does not break apart when you pick it up, especially the skin (they also ONLY sell the skin at this stall).

Very delicious. $2 each. Fried popiah $1.4. Hand make popiah skin. Bought 3 as my lunch. One of the best Popiah in Singapore.
