The lady at reception talks very rude. Not sure why a hotel like ascott still keeping her ? She talks loudly, and rude like selling in food court. Her name i think is merlinda if i am correct.

Location: Raffles place Check-in/check-out Smooth Gym: Basic Pool: small but good enough for shorter lap's Rooms: Are spacious and old with few teething problems. The technical& housekeeping department are prompt in resolving issues and providing decent service. Staff: are a balance between discreet and over-friendly. Minus: Sharmila and Jaya from housekeeping were not good, lazy and used to cut several corners in their Job while we were in room 602 One of the receptionists was rude in her behaviour several times. Spoke to a few other hotel guests and they seemed to have faced the same attitude. Plus: Staff like Amir ( concierge) Daniel, Michelle (reception) Huong on 1502 ( housekeeping) We were in Ascott for almost 2.5 months and had an overall wonderful stay that made us feel at home. Room 602 and 1502 Hope to return in June again!

Quite nice spacious rooms - there are so much places to store stuff ! Lot of storage spaces. For vegetarians food choices are limited.

Seriously THE WORST hotel/service apt in my opinion. Rooms are dark, shower head didn't work, staff interrupts when u speak. Wrong breakfast orders yet staff challenged the guest. No housekeeping for 2 days due to public holiday - seriously? And u call this a five star establishment in a first world country? Feels more like a 3 star in China. Given your prime location, u really need to beef up on standards. Worst thing is I'm stuck here till end of month, can't wait to check out. God help me.

The rooms were very spacious, aircon was very cold, everything was clean and the check in/out process was pleasant and seamless. The location is wonderful as it's just right next to Raffles Place station, which gives you access to the red line. 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend staying here.

Terrible experience from start to end. So many hiccups at check-in which just kept us waiting, room service is not available during the most important days of the week, instruction manuals are not available and very unclear in the room, TV quality is from the 90s, and the list of negatives go on. Booked it as a honeymoon suite and completely regretted it. Will definitely not return - don’t understand how it’s supposed to be a β€˜high-end’ hotel. Only thing good about the stay were the bellhops - they were very helpful and friendly.

Ascott has displayed a serious lack of empathy for wheelchair users. The rooms especially the bathrooms are not meant for wheelchair users at all. The WC cubicle has a glass door that limits the movement even for normal human beings. So I had my wheelchair users to use the public wheelchair toilet. Imagine that! One might see the exorbitant price is staying there thinking it’s a 4 star hotel but it sucked really bad. Saving grace is the restaurant Cali with their staff giving good service. I would recommend the in-room dining. Same food cheaper price. I would not recommend this to wheelchair users. I asked for a plastic chair to be used in the toilet and it took ages. Front line staff appears to be a disgruntled bunch. Looking at the lack of empathy the hotel displays, I’m not surprised. Not a tool to help the disabled. One star for its one star service and attitude. Hopefully they redesign the rooms for wheelchair accessibility.
