β β β β β yay, new food in Woodlands!
Located in the newly opened Woodlands Square, itβs my first time trying @ayampenyetria.sg & Iβm so happy to see Tempeh (fermented soybean made into cake form).
Iβve always love Tempeh but itβs not so commonly found and imagine my delighted when I realised I can order a plate full of Tempeh. It was 3 Tempeh & 3 Tauhu but I opted for all Tempeh.

β β β β β One of the better outlet for this brand. Ordered the Ikan Lele, bakar and penyet. The bakar version is so much better than penyet. For drinks, the pricing is surprisingly acceptable but some may not agree on the sizing. Ordered the Soda Gembira, which is a mocktail made with soda water. Taste very refreshing and itβs suitable for the meal. What surprise me the most was the satay. Chicken portion wise is huge and juicy. Ketupat is soft, like those that cook from Adabi ketupat.
My advice is to come at an appropriate timing due to some confusion sometimes with the order. Other than that, the shop located just after the escalator when going down.

β β β β β Ordered take away tahu telur and sop buntut and waited for food to be ready at this outlet. While waiting, saw a customer left after tahu telur made the list of dishes that had ran out. Given my order was taken before that, I was disappointed that the kitchen turn up with only single order of sop and was told that the tahu telur has ran out. No matter how tasty food is, itβs difficult to give any positive reviews if the restaurant donβt give enough care to fulfil customerβs order.

β β β β β The ohtlet serves cold ayam penyet, ayam bakar. Even the fried potatoes are cold. I won't be coming again. You patronise at your own risk.

β β β β β Average service. Served dessert without cutlery as the first dish before our mains. Quite surprised they didnt even know that chendol should be served later (anyway chendol is not worth the price)... ayam penyet meat is dry. If it wasnt the chilli that save the day, i would have given up eating.

β β β β β Had their satay, fried dory penyet, ayam bakar penyet, teh sosro susu, barli & can green tea. Paid about $35. Quite lacking service and food was less than average. So many better options elsewhere

Don't waste time and money ! The chicken is fried over and over again until it is totally dry and unpalatable!!

β β β β β Went during non-peak hour and service was good. The ayam & bebek penyet & ayam bakar all tasted good. Sambal is good and you can ask for extra without being charged.
