Staff is very rude, especially the guy in specs

Guy in specs is very rude and dismisses customers. He insisted on speaking mandarin even Though I was conversing in English. I queued for an hour wanting to do a withdrawal but ended up wasting my time because this guy just didn’t want to work on paperwork.

Patient and Professional Service Received. Due to personal reasons that I've to close numerous accounts from 4 different banks in Singapore within the same day. At Bank of China Woodlands sub branch, I received professional, competent and patient service as contrast to the discriminative service services from other banks an hour ago. At BoC, I regret straight away after closing the account.

I went in to enquire about their zaobao credit card and my existing account. I was served by a male staff wearing spec, seated under a financial product counter. He wasn't rude but his service is bad. I asked about the ongoing taobao promotion and he didn't bother to check when he don't have the confirmed answer, giving a lot of half-hearted replies, as if my issues are normal, he just kept frowning and hope I can leave soon. When asked about some payment issue that I faced, he straightaway said it cannot go through meant the promotion ended, but that's not the truth. Taobao app is still promoting it. And he went on and said, oh if is a china union card then cannot be used, but I was referring to the Singapore-issued card all along. And when asked if I can apply for the zaobao credit card, the first thing he asked is if "I am working" maybe I was judged due to my slipper and shorts bah. Overall, it's not horrible, but I just felt it can be better. Really no point opening a branch here if you don't wish to give proper service, if not for union , I wouldn't consider BOC

The staff in the Bank of China branch - especially bank tellers have an attitude and service is not friendly. There are only 2 atm services and half the time the atm machines are out of service. Suggest users of BOC to switch back to our neighbourhood bank DBS for better service reception.
