Usually add one egg to kway teow soup; and slurp up the whole bowl dry! This is how delicious and yummy it is! Worth my trip all the way from Hougang just for it! yay!

Great tasting BCM with black sauce @ $5. They pride themselves with no msg added. Was there on a Saturday morning and I was 7th in line. Nice service too. Highly recommended.

Rating: ??? #美食金 #jiak 49A Serangoon Garden Way # 01-37 Seng Kee Mushroom Minced Meat Noodles Recommend: Mushroom, Noodles & Soup (Cause they charge $1 for EXTRA soup) . The long queue says it all. Either the food damn good, or the cook damn slow. #慢工出细活 ??? The meat ingredients were al-dente and flavourful. ??? Bowls starts from $4-13+ with option of Fish Maw soup. . ?Well seasoned bak chor mee (bcm), not uber strong on vinegar and chilli ?Polished fragrant mushroom ?Heart warming essence broth (cause soup sounds lower SES) . Young hawkers I support. At least not those that came out from Media-cop ? #ifyouknowwhatimean . @threepointgold

Very tasty bowl of BCM and worth the wait of 30mins. Soup is so umami with the tipo fish taste and really is the highlight of this stall. $5 bowl does not come with the dried tipo fish and will add next time now that i know. Mee Kia is the thin type and so not so shiok for me, will try mee pok next. Will certainly be back.

A different taste for your regular minced meet noodle. Served with QQ thin noodles with liver/lean pork/bean sprouts. The condiments used has slight differs from our regular ones. Long Q in the morning due to slower prep/serving time (waited 20mins). The ingredients are freshly prepared and texture of the noodles definitely command a higher price at $5 for regular sized bowl. Ok for a small eater like myself. Maybe will give a try for the $10 fish maw soup. Definitely in my watch list for a finer quality for BCM. Sadly it's not value added for the price in comparison with the serving. Hopefully they will relook into that area.

I spent $9 for a big bowl of mushroom minced pork mee Kia soup, with add on fried sole fish ($1.50)and dried sole fish meat ball ($1). The standard version no fried sole fish. Overall it’s disappointing. Last time I had Seng Kee was maybe a year a go , it just priced $4.50 for small /5.50 for big. For me a bowl of bak Chor price $5.50 (no fried sole fish) is quite ex . Anyway the soup claimed to be no msg and sugar, tasted really bland, lack of Unami. I remembered it was not like this last time. Sad to see the standard has dropped so much.. soup broth is soul of and it the key of this dish.. the add on fried sole fish was to burnt and the meat ball just so so, nothing special. I would still prefer hills street tai Hwa bai Chor mee. Although that I still ranked it 3stars as I tried the dried version before and it was decent.

Bak Chor Mee (SGD $6) @ Seng Kee Bak Chor Mee. . Followed this stall for over 15 years, since the time they were at Eunos. Now with 2 stalls; the more prominent one in Serangoon Gardens and another in Ang Mo Kio, the legend of Mr Lee's 'tok tok' cooking technique carries on. . What makes this place stand out are the robust flavours of both gravy and soup versions, pairing nicely with the springy soft texture of the mee pok / wide flat egg noodles. . The gravy is thick and decadent, rich with earthy salty savoury flavour enhanced with pork lard, while the spicy notes are mild. . The pork bone soup is rich and full-bodied, probably the most strongly flavoured of pig's liver, carrying an earthy savoury sweet mineral taste. The premium version is enhanced with fish maw and egg, giving it a strong depth of flavour. . The minced pork is fresh and meaty sweet with a light chew, while the tender slow braised mushrooms have deep earthy salty savoury flavour. . A bit expensive for the portion size, but it's an all-round reliable quality that's delicious.
