★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were excited to try the new Xin Yuan Ji @ Guoco Tower as we frequently patronise the main store @ Tan Quee Lan St.
We got to try it today, and we ordered double fish thick bee hoon w milk and har cheong gai, and we were utterly disappointed.
1) Soup was way too sweet and too much milk was added. All we could taste were the evaporated milk and sweet, no fragrance at all. The standard was nowhere near the main store.
2) Har Cheong Gai were saltish and tasted nothing like Har Cheong Gai. It just tasted like flour coated on wings and deep fried.
The only redemption was the fish. They were fresh and the portion was reasonable.
We will definitely just stick to going back to the main store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was ok . Thought there was tomato in the soup per pic . For the price charge , I suggest the management to try “arcade fish shop” it’s has much more ingredient and nicer for the same price .
The female cashier was friendly and helpful tho .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered double fish soup with rice. The batang fish was fresh, fried fish cut was thick and meaty. Skip was flavourful with a note of sweetness. Legit good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time ordered take away sliced fish soup bee hoon from this new shop. When I back home and open up to my surprise the soup added milk and sliced fish seem to be fried. The fish was bland and hard. Will not come back again. :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taste: acceptable but not “wow” that kind of delicious.
Staff attitude: good
Downsides
Fish portion: petite
Price: overpriced
One time visit only no return, I’m so sorry

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Known for their milk based fish soup at Tan Quee Lan Street. Guess it just opened, as such, the queue was still quite manageable. Standard still good! Thought they were quite efficient in terms of the restaurant layout and sitting. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Newly open fish soup store at Guoco Tower. Originated from Tan Quee Lan Street at Bugis. They serve some new menu here like prawn paste noodle, breaded prawn, signature har cheong gai. Nice ambience, awesome food. Legit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried fried fish soup with thick bee hoon, the soup taste nice and natural, no msg. Fried fish is disapointing, over salty but no unfresh fishy taste. For the price of $8.80, more veggie should be added, photo did show tomato but none added.
