★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OMG. It a must to have it in this restaurant. The fish head soup. The fish is fresh and don't have the fishy smell taste in their soup. Matched with the rice and your dinner is done.
The service is fast. Good environment to grab for lunch or dinner with family or friend.

Took away 1 star cos of the weird pricing though:
I saw that there were different noodle add-ons so I wanted to add them to the fish soup (has additional tomato and tofu vs fish soup noodles with only veg), and asked for ee mian. Cashier said it was additional 50 cents, I thought ok for additional noodles.
Turned out she charged me for the fish soup noodle order, plus 50 cents to change the noodles. Asked about it and the cashier was pretty aggressive in explaining it to me. Apparently ee mian cannot be added to the fish soup, but the other types of noodles can? Kinda odd, on top of the surcharge for changing noodles ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden gem in one of the coffee shops along Lorong Ah Soo! Soup is hearty and flavourful. Surprisingly, they’re not packed and they’re super fast in preparing your order. I can have this every day if not for Singapore’s sweltering heat!
My go to order - fried sliced fish soup ($5) with additional rice ($0.70)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Originated from the famous fish soup, 新源记 fish head steamboat, opposite bugis junction. Located at a mini size coffee shop. Price is toward the higher side but is worth it. Fish are fresh and thicker then other fish soup store. The broth was the talking point, rich and flavourful, additive! Real hidden jem at Hougang. Will try again soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Famous for the signature fish soup with milk, surprised that the wanton mee is very tasty. The chilli is very shiok, blend so well with the noodle n crispy pork lard. Great comfort food! Keep up the good work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aside selling their popular fish soup, they serve wanton mee too. Decided to try give a try, to my surprise it is so good! The homemade chilli sauce and crispy pork lard match so well with the springy noodle. My new place to get my wanton noodle fix. Highly recommend!
