Childhood breakfast haunt for generations now! Traditional and delicious. Try dry and get both soup and the starchy dry sauce. I read the other reviews about this stall and I’d have to agree there are better across the causeway. But I’d classify this as an authentic local store for beef noodles.

My favourite beef noodle, I always love the dry one with gravy. The soup (and sometimes the gravy) is more pepperish these days though.. but it's still my happy food.

Their dry sauce taste way much better than their soup which taste like over burnt taste. Meat are cook just 50% cook so when it’s serve it’s just right. Probably one of the best beef noodles I’ve eaten . Yes the counter auntie is rather impatient and rude at times .. maybe she has not worked before and customer service/ politeness is something she needs to learn ..

When I took my first taste, I realised why do most pics in reviews have so much chilli sauce in their bowls. It was 100% bland on its own, and tastes much better with the chilli sauce. Also my first time trying the onion condiment which complements the meal. The coffeeshop is really stuffy so it’s not the most comfortable to have a hot bowl of noodles. I’ll come back if I’m around the area on a breezy day.

Signature Singapore Beef Noodle . Always have queue but fast moving. 5 to 10 minutes wait. Open for breakfast and lunch only.

Dec 2021 This used to be popular with long queue. Hence chose a weekday morning to eat. No queue. Was quite disappointed. The broth is good. But the amount of meat is pathetic. Chose the mixed thick bee hoon dry. Has stomach, different kinds of meat no doubt but the quantity and size is little. You know chirashi Don? The size of the tuna bits? This reminds me of it. The chinchialok onions and the chili are good. Not many places serves chinchialok with free flow onions. The chili has the blue ginger taste. I thought my bowl has little meat because it's small portion at $5. But looking at the reviews, $6 is none the better.

Beef Noodles (SGD $6) @ Cheng Kee Beef Kway Teow. . For well over a decade, this stall has been delighting with its soup rendition, even more so than its about-decent gravy. . The star is the robust soup / broth, rich with meaty sweet savoury herbal peppery spice flavour, without being overpowering. Best paired with the silky kway teow / wide flat rice noodles, which has a soft chew. . The beef cuts are rather small but well cooked and tender, while the tripe is properly spongy crunchy. The beef meat balls have a springy juicy chew, with meaty sweet savoury flavour. . Of note is their robust chinchalok / fermented shrimp paste, which lends a contrasting punchy sour salty shrimpy savoury flavour.

$6.00 for a mixed bowl of tender beef, beef stomach, tendon and lots and lots of bean sprouts . I was expecting a reasonable amount of meat for the price but no. There is no beef ball too at all in the mix. The soup is nothing to shout about, lacked any taste of Chinese herbal as in any good beef noodle and hint of MSG. The pictures they hung above showing their generous size cooked bow of servings does not exist! Apart from the generous serving of bean sprouts aplenty, are those miserable very little small small pieces of meat are all there is. Nothing to cheer about and not a satisfying meal. Bought also Mixed Beef noodle, the thick sauce is starchy, taste more of a instant beef stocks and very little ingredients like beef or parts for a $6.00. I was expecting a better ingredients portioning but not here in my bowl for $6.00. I felt cheated. **Check out a Beef Noodle stall at a nearby Hawker Centre! 2 stars because the soup is nice but not outstanding , those little meat left inside are tender well cooked. Won’t recommend.
