I visited King’s Dental for many years and would strongly discourage patronage of this clinic. Some of my main negative experiences include: Once, I came in for a check-up and the dentist diagnosed I needed to get a filling done. I have a very severe fear of needles and the dentist - fears which the dentist was aware of. Nonetheless, after patronising King’s Dental for so many years and being reassured by the dentist that the filling required was small, I lay back down and awaited the procedure. What I could not have even imagined in my wildest dreams was the unpleasant shock I got when the dentist decided to administer local anesthesia on me WITHOUT my consent. I was in tears during the process, struggling and unable to move as I was held down by the dentist and his assistance - my fears were realised and my trust in him completely shattered. This act was a trespass to my person (battery) and left me with an enhanced fear of the dentist; yet, the justification I received was that the local anesthesia would have made the process more comfortable and if he had informed me about its administration I would have fervently rejected it. This blatant disregard of the need for consent and lack of empathy for a patient’s feelings/fears is already a clear reason not to patronise this dental clinic. Another incident was where a very large filling I had previously gotten done at King’s Dental got dislodged and fell out. I was in a state of panic given the size of the filling (a third of my molar) and had started to feel severe sensitivity around the area - it was an emergency. However, I could not get an appointment for approximately a week from first contacting them. On the day of my appointment, the dentist was unexpectedly unwell - this is understandable and it something that may occur unforeseeably. What was completely appalling was that, despite the aforementioned emergency that I had communicated to the receptionist repeatedly, they rescheduled my appointment for 2 weeks later. This would have required me to wait a total of 3 weeks from first reaching out to make an appointment despite the pain I was in (that, again, I had communicated to the receptionist). I begged for an earlier appointment while in tears from the fear and pain; however, I was told that that was not possible. As a result, I had to visit a different dental clinic where I was informed that the impact of the filling falling out was serious and, indeed, it was something that had to be dealt with in a timely manner. These are only 2 of many negative incidents I have experienced at King’s Dental - I have since never returned to King’s Dental and would not recommend them to anyone.

I rarely write reviews but I had such a positive experience earlier today. Went in as an emergency case as I had chipped a tooth last week and cracked another last night. The doctor's schedule was full already but the staff was so helpful and the dentist was willing to take a look (which I understand will eat into their rest/lunch time). The dentist explained my situation and course of action very clearly and was very meticulous with his treatment and advice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.

I like the dental services provided but sometimes the clinic calls me to say the dentist is not available due to some reasons and asks me to postpone to another date. Then the clinic will call again the following day or closer to the revised date and ask me to pick another timing. I wish the clinic has another dentist so both can cover each other without compromising a patient’s care and attention. Thanks.
