My wife and I were frequent customers of Crystal Jade for a good many years, until we turned vegetarian. Their recently introduced plant-based menu brought us back and we were very happy with the dishes. We enjoyed the Omni meat ball congee (Crystal Jadeโ€™s excellent congee texture is still there), fried spring roll with Beyond Beef and truffle mushroom mayo, and wok fried asparagus with truffle oil. Our experience was made even more pleasant when we chatted with a long-time service staff that worked across a few of their outlets through the years. Well done Crystal Jade!

Be warned never to choose this restaurant for family dinner on any festival. Apart from the over zest waitresses clearing every single plate available when the food is done, nothing impressive at all. We understand there are 3 sets of seating timings during CNY reunions but to rush customers through their meals isn't the right thing to do for your earnings. Even asking additional hot water for my tea is like..receiving stare like...." will you take long... " Everyone was disappointed with the food served by Crystal Jade, which has chosen speed over quality of food. Have you seen Boston losters going for deep fried with batter? Firstly, the lobsters aren't fresh & by coating the lobsters with thick batter, it is impossible to eat. All the others dishes are head shaking too. ". My view, avoid CJ as your choice of any family gathering. Terrible food with ex .......ex.....pensive bill. With this type of sub-standard, customers will soon lose faith in all chinese cuisine in Singapore. We will never set foot in CJ ever.

The staff here are so nice! I ordered a soy sauce stir fried noodle without knowing that they add ginger in it. After taking one bite I informed them that I don't take ginger and they willingly made another one for me without ginger and the likes. It was so tasty even without the ginger, leek and coriander! It is challenging to cook this way and a lot of restaurants would just pile on the salt meaninglessly, but not here. This is still our fave run-of-the mill family HK restaurant. On a usual weekday night after work, this is true comfort food. Don't expect Mott32 standards here and you won't be disappointed. Thumbs up!

The good old days where crystal jade was the go-to place is probably over. The food isn't bad, but it just kind of stayed stagnant. The fried items I had today was filled with oil. Every bite of the spring roll ended with an oily taste in my mouth. The only saving grace is the server at our table. I'm probably not coming here again if there are other choices available.

Didnโ€™t have a good experience as the taste is quite disappointing.. The deep fried white fish is soggy. Fried tofu is super plain.. beef Hor fun beef is very toughโ€ฆ wonโ€™t go back. Waitress forgot our order of ice water.. manager walk away with our request without coming back. Need to ask again from other waitress. Overall is not the kind of experience you expect from crystal jade .

The service of this branch must be improved. Though there were no queue, we waited like 10 mins queuing while none of the waitress entertainment us. Finally got a table, right after order, the beverages were served with wrong order. After that when the food came, everything just turned into more disappointment. The Xiao Long Bao weren't juicy, the skin were too thick. We ordered vegetables with assorted eggs in superior broth, it was tasteless and cold when serving to us. Only the 2 combinations and roasted duck meeting our expectations but overall the foods are cold beside Xiao Long Bao. They seriously need to improve at that price point.

The pork broth fish soup is the BEST, followed by the pork belly fei char siew. Other dishes were standard taste of what you should expect from a chinese restaurant. Service was alright and prompt.

Mostly run of the mill dim sum, but their siew mai was the exception with fresh prawns. Har gow also has bouncy fresh prawns, but the skin was a little soggy. Not sure why thereโ€™s peanut sauce slathered on their ็‚ธๅ…ฉ, which caused the dough fritters wrapped within the rice rolls to be soggy. Shouldnโ€™t it be served without any sauce, and we pour soy sauce on it just before eating? Deep fried salted egg, mushroom pork ball was a major disappointment despite being listed as a special item on the menu. Very imbalanced ingredients for the filling - way too much potato which made it very dry, thick and one-dimensional. Beancurd roll ่…็šฎๅท didnโ€™t seem to be wrapped with ่…็šฎ. Seems more like a deep fried seafood roll instead. Service was very efficient and staff were friendly.
