Ordered the pickled vegetables flavour with sea bass and a mala spicy chicken. The fish is fresh, but the chicken is a little salty. The only feedback I had was the servicing staff is not familiar with their own menu when ask for recommendation and the plate that they used to serve the chicken was broken, I don’t think it’s nice to serve customers with a broken plate.

We thought trying new Chinese grill fish restaurant so we found this online. We order their signature fragrance spicy, patin fish with 3 side dishes. Also pepper corn as snack. Food preparing took almost 40 to 50mins. So we munch on the pepper corn and white rice. When fish arrived, they missed my inoki mushroom side dish (pls check your order before digging in) Flavour wise, it's not as strong as I imagine it would, kinda dilute, not that wow, but the fish is fresh. One set of fish enough for 2 man. I not sure if can refill the soup cos it's kinda understaffed I presume?

Always dine here frequently and this time round realised their menu has a new look and some new dishes (e.g. the custard coconut ball dessert). Ordered the sweet fragrance fish as usual and added beancurd skin but realised that the beancurd skin becomes very hard and uneatable while it gets cooked whereas the ones in the garlic sauce remains okay. Asked the manager about it and she explained that it was because of the vinegar that is in the sauce which the beancurd skin gets soaked up in. She kindly got the kitchen to give a new plate of cooked beancurd skin. Didn't know this previously but thought that it will be good if they can indicate this in the menu or at least preempt the diners if they are going to order the beancurd skin with that sauce (:

Attracted by this very nice looking Jiang Bian cheng wai. First time visiting this Raffles City outlet. A very spacious and nice interior design! ? Just that the playing of FM dont match the cozy ambience ?... Wide selection of dishes on menu.? Theres a promotion, $28 grilled fish set meal thats good for 2. Comes with 2 sour plum drinks and 2 plain rice. I am not a sour plum drink fan, so i wished that there were other options.? Ordered our usual grilled fish flavour ~ Xiang La and added on La Zi Ji. ??La Zi Ji was good. Served piping hot.? Vibrant in colour and sharp in taste,? The chicken pieces were bigger in size compared to the usual ones i always had. Not too oily, good balance of crispy, tender and flavor.. spiciness level just nice, quite shiok.? Griled fish - Soup not flavourful enough, quite diluted imo ?.. Spice level ok. There's also a list of items you can order to add in. Add on side dishes were added in below the fish when served. Fish was big and fresh.? Top up of soup can chose between clear soup or the choiced flavour soup. Service from a lady in black shirt (long hair with specs if i did not rmbr wrongly) was good. She was nice and put in efforts to interact with customers.? Other staff were not attentive/helpful, either busy talking at the host area or just walked past us without doing checks... None notice we needed a top up of soup and flames below gone off..☹️

nice food. we tried the unique sauce grilled fish as we wanted something different. taste was great. did not disappoint. we took off 1 star as we ordered the szechuan styled chilled spicy chicken but it was a total let down. it was basically chilled chicken in chili oil and some peanuts. no chili spices to be seen. will try other grilled fish styles the next time!

We went on a Wednesday afternoon and there were little to no customers. Good atmosphere and fast service. Lunch deal set fish was just right for two people and their signature sauce is tasty. The sour plum juice was not to our liking as it was a bit too sweet.

Just had lunch here - the food was terrific! The spicy shrimp wonton appetizer was as good as wontons can get. The Riverside soup though… I first wanted to order a large soup, but the waitress was very nice - she advised me to get a small one instead, and she was completely right. The “small” portion was enormous! The soup contains fresh water fish, noodles and vegetables, and they bring a side of minced pork to add to it. You get two options: spicy and mild, but I’d recommend to get the spicy pork, as it’s a very comfortable level of spice for anyone. The fish was incredibly tender and the broth was delicious. I felt full after the meal but somehow, even after downing such a gigantic soup, my stomach felt rather light, which indicates to me that the ingredients were extremely fresh and low in saturated fats. The prices are more than fair, given the quantity and quality of food. Highly recommended.
