Went here for dinner while craving some nice chinese food. Ding Te Le has its work cut out for it, being on the same road as many other chinese restaurants, some with huge reputations. It was surprising to find out that their food tastes great, with their signature pan fried dumplings living up to expectations. It was pan seared to a crisp, while holding a good amount of juice that gives it a balance of crunchy on the outside but soft and savoury on the inside. Their drunken chicken was great as well; we could taste the wine infused with the chicken, but it was not overly alcoholic. Their fried rice, while not as good as Din Tai Fung's, is still nice enough to have as a main course.

Shanghai themed food restaurant. Came on a PH noon and place is crowded with people. But still seats available. Water is not complimentary. Went with what Gmaps suggested. Pan fried buns were juicy and prawns inside were whole and plump. Filling was pretty sweet. Bun skin was quite thick and dry. Feels like I'm eating bread. I rate 3/5 ? Xiao long bao skin was thick and chewy fillings were same as pan fried buns. Sweet and full. Juicy too. I rate 3.5/5 ? Minced meat noodles were average.. infact meh compared to hawker centre standards. Noodles were alot. Meat was okay. Very wet though. I rate: 2/5 ?

The 生煎包 was fantastic. Nicely pan fried with a crispy base. Understand that the thickness of the skin is subjective. But, The bao was juicy inside and the meat was flavourful. The dumplings soup was a pity as the dumplings were good here too. So juicy that the juice squirt out as I sink my teeth in! The downside is that the soup has 0 taste. Almost taste like dough water. The other noodles I ordered was quite good. The seasoning was good and the meat was also well seasoned. Enjoyed my meal fully and will return for the 生煎包.

Wait for a seat on weekend lunch wasn’t too long. Ordered 小笼包,生煎包,杂酱面,梅菜肉丝面,三鲜wonton mee. The one which was worth mentioning was 生煎包. The soup from the bun was flavorful. So was the pork filling. The bun was part soft and part crispy. Texture was good. 小笼包 skin was too thick and sometimes hard. Some of them did not have soup, lack of consistency. Two dry noodles was average, noodle was Q. Wonton was alright, skin too thick, made the filling feel so little. Soup wise, clear and not much flavor.

Nice & cosy place to enjoy a meal of Shanghainese pan fried bun. The bun is great tasting and the skin isn’t thick. Inside is moist with savoury gravy. However the same could not be said about the 锅贴. The skin is too thick and the filing is little. The sweet and sour soup have lots of fresh ingredients. However the taste lack punch and not sour enough. The 小笼包 is very good. I think surpass that of Ding Tai Feng. The only grouse is the spoon is too small. Once you bite onto it, it’s soup gravy spills. Could have a bigger spoon then would be perfect.

we loved the 生煎包!savoury soup that matched well with the generous portion of meat. the scallion noodles was quite good too, though i would say pass on the 酸辣汤 which lacked flavour (but there’s vinegar and chilli oil that you can self add!)

First time here and wanted to give them a chance after seeing other bad reviews. But it was really bad. Their fried rice was terrible - wet, mushy and lumpy with lousy grade prawns and the prawns were even cold?!Their signature duck was hard. Sour spicy soup was terrible too, there wasn’t much taste, other than pepper. The dumpling skin was very thick as well. Guess what? The 生煎包 even has bone in it… what? Overall a very bad terrible experience. Will never come back again… super disappointed. I can’t believe they can even open a shop with such lousy standards…

A nice cosy ambience newly opened Shanghainese food place. Went to try some food over here during the lunch time. Thier signature panfired dumpling tasted amazingly nice. So our expectation went too high for our next all foood orders. Unfortunately it wasnt the same, shangahi noodles with pork & spicy sauce left me with a baseless taste. Not sure what ingredients the chilli was made of, no taste at all. Most of my friend who ordered the noodle dishes were soggy too and tasteless. Probably I would skip this place.
