EAT. for Eat. - Square 2

E.A.T. a single-stall single-stop business selling food-court type dishes under one roo. It is under the Fei Siong Group (21 outlets in total) which started business since 2006. Food it sells includes: + Fish ball noodles + Coffee set $4.20 (fishball noodles alone possible at $3.80) + Laksa or Bak Chor Mee + Coffee set $5.20 (Laksa/ Bak Chor mee along possible at $4.80) + Chicken Chop + Coffee set $5 + Dumpling soup + Satay Bee Hoon (unusual dish seldom found in even hawker centres) and many more. Food quality-wise, there's nothing spectacular in taste. Indeed, the sauce for the dry fishball noodles tasted somewhat mundane, i.e. it uses chilli and tomato sauces one can find at home, instead of self-made grinded chilli/sambal the way other food-court or hawker centre stalls do. The chicken chop was also somewhat cold although I came during weekday off-peak hours and thought they would have made me a fresh piping hot one. But price wise, it's cheaper than the Level 4 Koufu food court (which only has 50%-60% of its stalls tenanted) behind the NTUC outlet, and Level 1 Wang Cafe in Square 2. There's also another nearby branch at the linkway joining Royal Square@Marriott and Novena Square. (much cheaper than Wang Cafe). Its nearest competitor would probably be the Kopitiam food court on Level 3 of Velocity@Novena. There are ample seating (~30 seats?), including those on the opposite side of the pedestrian aisle. Overall, a cheap place for a working lunch, but nothing much more. Tip: while one may wait for your food at the mostly-empty tables, the food collection counter is facing away toward Chicken Hotpot, another food establishment. So you may not know when your food is actually ready (the staff don't alert you by default).

The worst EAT I had ever encounter . I ordered laska . Food is cold . Only 1 Filipino female staff who was pretending to be looking for something in the fridge bending down but was actually busy on the phone / so busy she didn’t realized I have been standing there waiting to place my order until I call for her . After I place my order she put the noodles in and continue to lose focus so only my noodles is hot . The fish cake s products laska soup were all cold and very salty ... felt like leftovers ... So bad I felt sick after eating... this stall brought the rest down specially the better ones at nex

Serve by a Philippines lady. Attitude not very good. Mayb i interrupted her talkin on phone.

Will not come to this stall AGAIN. 1). The kitchen staff have no sense of hygiene and just put the dropped out food into soup. 2). The two ladyb staff have BAD service attitude in serving customers orders and it needed to change for 2 time to get the food served right. 3). The chicken fillet is so hard and dark. 4). Very cramp seats. 5). Coffee is so diluted, no coffee tast. **Money back for all items of my order.** 6). It is deserved Zero star but it has to give a star for posting.

Bad attitude of staff, left my Dabao at counter, continued serving next customer and next customers without saying single words to me or her colleagues, what I am waiting for? When I ask her, then she called a staff there is a Dadao , staff came over no expression , no words, put the cover to the bowl. So simple action if she can’t do, is it fare for a customer to wait , at least open your mouth to tell ur colleagues, why have to let the customer to wait and wait. My lunch hours was limited ! Very bad experience !!!!

Lor mee with the chicken chop is not bad. Tastes like a standard lor mee.

Staff was was extremely rude and unfriendly. Terrible attittude and talking tone. Frowned when I tried to place an order. Asked for chili paid and she said don't have. Not worth eating there no matter how good the food if the staff don't even have basic courtesy! Canceled my order and left.

Food quality are consistent and I really like their laksa and lor mee. The cashier aunty is friendly though she speaks loudly sometimes. I hope they can improve the stall hygiene and be more efficient in cleaning up the table. Stall gets crowded most of the time during lunch hour so I have to take away the food which costs you additional $0.30. It will be more valuable when you redeem the meal via Shopee vouchers.
