The food was amazing and the place was absolutely beautiful. Edit: Came here a second time and I have to say, the hotpot was awesome.

Fresh ingredient and tasty don! Abit noisy and busy in the evening. Make sure you make a reservation before coming here

The salmon sashimi set lunch was a class of its own. Salmon slices were really fresh and tender. The chawamushi was served piping hot. Thanks for the great meal!

Came on a weekend as it opened at 5.30pm. There were few people waiting as well. Though we didn't have reservations, we were lucky enough to get 2 seats, but advised to finish by 6.45 (which i find fair). Apparently this place really gets filled up fast. The ambiance is clean and cozy, with a lot of sake bottles as decorations for that "japanese vibe." The service/ staff is friendly and on point. We mostly had our tea refilled without asking. Communication is clear and commendable. When it comes to the food, it is comparable to what you would get in town. Sashimi slices are thicker than some restaurants out there with similar price points. Sashimi tastes fresh, and served with a real GREEN SHISO leaf, this small touch actually gives some impact when considering japanese authenticity! Other japanese restaurants don't serve this at times. The sushi rice itself is "okay", kind of lacking that sake/ vinegar sushi rice flavour. Overall, experience was very good. The fried dishes were crispy and worth a try. Can't say much about the other food. But I will consider coming back to try their hot pot as it seems popular there too with a couple of tables I saw having it.

My family has been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both times! Very very good sashimi, though I did have a udon set previously that I found to be on the blander side. The booth seats at the back are really squeezy though, and it can be a bit hard to get the staff’s attention at times, but these are small issues compared to the quality of food.

Sat at chef’s table, food came promptly and service was good throughout the meal. Took some time for the water to boil for the sukiyaki as we were near the aircon and the cold wind was blowing the flames sideways. Was soon fixed by leaning a plate against the pot! Vegetables were fresh and seafood too. Portions not large but sufficient. Good for a simple meal.

Wow. That’s the only thing that comes to mind. To think that there’s such a gem of a restaurant nestled in a private estate. It is a very small restaurant so please make a reservation. You can technically walk from the Main Street but it will be a 10-15 min walk. But it’s well worth the wait and trek. Not sure if the thicker cuts are the result of their recent opening. Hopefully, it stays this way. Sushi was really fresh and very affordable. Food is delicious. Do try the kimchi beef soup with generous serving of thinly sliced beef. Well done. Please stay this way.
