Horrible experience at egt scooter. I brought my escooter to them on 29/7/18 and explained to the technician working at the shop what the problem was with me escooter. I told them that my escooter turns itself off at 49.5 volts and fully charges at 52.5 volts. I also mentioned my escooter was two years old I and have been using it Everyday for the past two years. The technician then told me it was a problem with my controller and I had to change my and throttle, controller and wirings all together. He then told me it would cost a total of $135. I trusted him and passed them my escooter. They then took six days to swap out the 3 things and called me in the evening of 4/8/18 and told me it is ready for collection. I went to their shop thinking I could collect it but when I arrived at their shop they told me they told me my signal lights were having problems, one brighter than the other and had to keep it for one more day. I agreed to let them keep it for an extra day to settle all the issues and went back the next day. On the way to collect my escooter the next day, 5/8/18, they called me and told me my charger was broken and said there was smoke coming from my charger and I had to buy a charger from them for $60. When I received the escooter, the alarm was no longer working, the motor was extremely loud( as if something was broken in there). I told them about it during the collection and they said it’s normal. I tested it the next day, 6/8/18, and the scooter still turned itself off at 49.5 volts. In shock, I called them and alerted them about the issue. I told them their technician had diagnosed it as a controller issue and charged me $135 but the problem has yet to be fixed. They guy then told me his technician is not wrong and said “since it’s 2 years old, how would you know ur controller and throttle has no problems? Now it is probably your battery that has a problem.” He told me to send it in for them to check the battery and quoted me $380 for a smaller battery and was not going to do anything about the wrong diagnosis. My scooter was sent in a good condition, alarm working,signal lights working, working charger, silent motor except for a slightly faulty battery. It was returned with faulty lights, a probably broken motor, a broken charger and an alarm that is not working with the main turn off problem not fixed. Extremely irresponsible shop and staffs. I urge everyone to STAY AWAY from EGT scooter and not let them work on your escooter at all cost.
