★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Better get your documents ready, even though there's no consistent information online, find the information beforehand. Otherwise, you'd get scolded and snapped at. Esp if you look Asian, you'll be talked to like a 5-year old who can't speak English. I love Ireland and Irish people, but I don't love the Singapore representative here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very strict embassy, no waiting place so you should only go by yourself, and make sure to arrive on time as they will not process even if you arrive early.
3 stars because the list of documents are not ready available to check online, hence i need to resubmit through email and this will delay your application

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How shameful that up to now, Irish embassy hasn't replaced the person in charge of checking visa applications. She doesn't represent what Irish people are. She's snobbish, racist, and will talk to you like you're some 5-year old who cannot understand English. When you call the embassy, the person answering the phone is also not customer-oriented -- always want to finish the conversation and will bang the fone without saying goodbye. These people (or should I say just one person) are a disgrace to Irish embassy and must be replaced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with the 2 other comments. Staff in the Irish Visa Section are rude and not helpful. Instead of advising they will shout at you and scold you..we got our uk visa in 10 days, our schengen visa in 5 days. Its our first time to apply, no problem at all, and staff in the other embassies were nice and helpful.If the people here cannot be nice atleast they can act professionally. We are paying $100, and we get very poor service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visa department here is the absolute worst of human interaction (the lady of south Asian descent, didn't get her name). You'll get shouted down by her for every little thing. I've applied for a dozen visas in the last 3 years alone and never have I experienced something as humiliating as this. Make no mistake though, real Irish are loveliest people, the ones working in their embassy in Singapore are horrendous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So far have had to process 2 complicated passport renewals, and 2 newborn passports issuances, total of 4 passports in 3 years. Staff are efficient and helpful; a great extension of the familiar approach from home.
Appointment is necessary like most embassies, and once you have all paperwork to hand, process is pretty straightforward.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passport emergency elegantly resolved, thanks to the excellent Fiachra MacFadden. Despite the embassy being closed for the Christmas holidays, Fiachra sprang into action and quickly sorted things out. I’m extremely grateful for his care and concern.
Fiachra’s intervention enabled me to travel and reunite with family - it was the perfect Christmas present!
