Very fast and efficient process. They didn’t need any of my additional documents. Security could have been nicer but overall easy and smooth experience.

Our visa application was very smooth. The officer who instructed was very clear and told everything that will happen to us inside the embassy and she was very polite. We were really nervous while getting inside but the interviewer was very calm and she just asked questions relating to your DS-160 form. We went in 7:45am, interview counter opened 8:00am and finished and got approved 8:06am. Thank you very much US embassy!

Smooth process, Kudos to the security. However, staff at application counter was rude, could have been more professional in handling applications and documents. Disappointing.

Called for details on hours on American Citizen Services and was told I could come by the next day. When I arrived, the guards hassled me, saying ACS is closed. I’m glad one of the ACS staff still came out of the complex to submit my ballot to vote, so I am thankful. However even in a whole month’s time the ballot has not been received and was not counted in the election. Therefore it ended up being a total waste of my time and effort.

Called the US embassy to request urgent retrieval of passport. There is not one helpful staff at all. A lady picked up the call, she's singaporean, and yet so unhelpful to fellow singaporeans. She said there's nothing she can do and hung up on me without waiting for me to reply. Such bad service and attitude when people are in urgent need of help. How is there no system in place for urgent matters?

Just got my visa approved and below is my review and tips. Scheduling Appointment Paid and scheduled an appointment in Oct/Nov 2022 (6 months ahead). But I kept checking online every morning and managed to pull forward my appointment month by month and finally got an appointment within the same month. So you never know! Just keep trying and start planning early! :) Tip: US travel visit visa (B1/B2) is valid for 10 years generally and you may use it even after you change to a new passport. Just bring along your older passport with the US visa. (Info as of 2022 from US embassy website) Day of Appointment Show up only 15 mins before the appointment time. Anytime earlier you would be asked to wait outside and not allowed to join the queue. Mobile phones and small bags are fine as long as you switched it off. Laptops are not allowed and you could keep it in the lockers provided outside at $2. Prepare 2x new $1 coins or a $2 note there’s a machine to exchange coins. Interview Process You docs would be checked from time to time so get them ready and printed. Have the appointment confirmation displaying on the first page since that is every security will check at every point you go. First counter they will check your passport and photo. Second counter will scan your biometric fingerprints. Then you will join the queue for the interview. Just be calm and tell short answers to the questions. The officer attended to me was nice and straight to the point. I didn’t have any concrete travel plan for my travel visa (due to the pandemic and volatile traveling situation) but basically was cleared after few questions (mainly about purpose of visit, work in Singapore) and the whole process took me 45 minutes from queueing until I came out off the embassy. Passport can be collected after 3-5 working days. If you need to travel soon please inform the officers at the start of the interview to arrange for the necessary later. There’s no expedite option so they will pass you back your passport and you can arrange to send your passport in later for the visa. Good luck and enjoy!

Amazing experience. Was applying for a tourist visa. In and out in 45 min with my passport back in 2 days! Make sure your come prepared with any document they may ask for. A seen a few people turned away as they didn't have enough documentation.

Friendly, informative, helpful staff. If you need to take a passport photo, they have a photo booth on the premises ($10 fee - only cash accepted. Cannot make change while there so bring the relevant amount with you beforehand. Photobooth accepted $2, $5, and $10 notes while I was there). At the moment, most visits are via appointment only, do visit the Embassy website to schedule.
