Had the daosiaomian braised meat. The taiwanese braised meat is really authentic! Quality good at such reasonable prices are really hard to come by. The chaps hired to cook and man cashier is also polite and easy going. Thumbs-up i will patronise again!

Chanced upon this Taiwanese eatery in the coffeeshop when we were looking for something to eat in the area. 20% off for the opening weeks, definitely enticing for new customers who haven’t heard of them (first outlet is in Geylang). ? The 盐酥鸡 are too huge a lump for my liking, and is actually too floury too - well seasoned though. ? Meesua tasted decent for the price point, was rather starchy which fares well in terms of taste. ? shark fin soup was a step better than those sold in the night markets (pasar malam), even though it’s of a similar price Will definitely revisit to try their other offerings in future!

Nice food with well prepared utencil for take away. It would be good if the meat portion can give more as we still feel hungry after finish the meal.

Had their salted crispy chicken and it was tender and good. Staff there warned about the spiciness of their chilli powder and recommend 25% for those who havent tried it before. This serving cost $5 so I felt it was a bit expensive for the portion. Oh, and just to note, the teh bing is at $2! One of the most expensive teh bing I had at coffeeshops

New Taiwanese Snacks Store in Jurong West. Friend recommended this newly opened store, so went to try. Braised Pork Rice S$5 - not bad, the first time I had it I felt the five spice powder was abit strong. But the second time I tried, i felt it was better, not sure if there was adjustment to it. Overall not bad, the egg, pickles and chili (very nice) were good with the rice. The food was very hot which I enjoys it. Salted Crispy Chicken - S$5 - not bad, some juicy in the chicken. would be better if the outer layer of sweet potatoe flour could be thinner. Sweet Potatoe Fries - S$4 - soso, the fries were too thin, unable to taste the sweetness of the sweet potatoe...quite a pity, the outer layer of flour is too thick.....Shih Lin & Hot Star both has better sweet potatoe fries than Emo Snacks Mee Sua - S$5 - must improve...the overall flavour is not bad, but the soup was too thick...in Tw, the mee sua with the soup was always nicely cooked and balanced. The starch was not well-stirred, therefore, there were chunks of of the starch found inside the soup as shown in the photo.....if the thickness can be resolved, this mee sua will be much much better. Overall, I will purchase from this store again.

Ordered 恶魔鸡排、面线,酸梅地瓜, the mee sua is good, but the chicken is a big disappointment, super crispy but it’s probably over cooked and lose the tenderness of the chicken meat. The whole chicken is super hard to chew. The sweet potato have too thick crust that cover the sweet potato taste, probably due so the small potion of the sweet potato in each piece.

Chanced upon this Taiwanese eatery in a coffeeshop when I was searching for food in Jurong West. And I ordered their Braised Pork Rice (滷肉饭) and Salted Crispy Chicken (盐酥鸡) for lunch today! The meat on the 滷肉饭 has more lean meat than the traditional Taiwanese ones, and I actually wish it could be more savory. You can choose your own spiciness for the 盐酥鸡, quite big chunk of meats, and well-seasoned. Love it.
