Famous Chang Cheng

虾鲜甜，软骨嫩滑。

[Hawker] Located within Chinatown Complex and near Chinatown MRT (NEL). As an avid prawn noodles lover, whenever I see that it is a recommended dish at a food stall, I will be drawn to try it. Seeing that it is the best dish recommended, I went ahead. After seating myself near the stall, I tasted the soup as it’s the most important part of the dish, for me. When it first hits the palate, it was really salty, a little prawn taste and what lingered on was the taste and feeling of oil and MSG. That, to me, was a disappointment. Went on to try the noodles with the chilli. It was still alright and the chilli, despite being a tad bit salty, it was still the saving grace. I gave an additional star for the freshness of the prawns and quantity. It’s definitely a no return for me.
