I'm very glad to have worked with Ren Yilei from Fineline to transform an old resale HDB to my dream home better than I imagined, all within reasonable budget & timeline despite COVID challenges. From the start, her grasp on my requirements, clear and timely communication, thorough design proposal, detailed quote, extensive portfolio, adaptable communication style were all important factors. Each room in the flat has challenge, she flagged them early and proposed elegant viable solutions. Yilei maintained clear communication and timely update throughout the renovation. She kept the project on track despite various COVID restrictions and logistical challenges, and has been helpful in curating and simplifying great choices of design, material, layout, and colors ahead of meetings, helping me make informed decisions efficiently. She accommodated my busy schedule and directly handled various contractors and vendors seamlessly, spotted and rectified issues early. Handover was smooth and she promptly addressed all fixes and touchup requirements timely. She's also generous in answering my questions by sharing advice, tips, or recommendations on appliances, furnishing, and decor to perfect my home. It has been lovely working with Yilei to make my dream home a reality and I highly recommend her.

Came to know about Fineline from a friend and got matched to work with Russell who was keen to work on the nature resort theme that I had in mind. We were on the same page about what I had envisioned, and what ultimately sold me was his idea of adding ceiling beams as a design in the limited space that I had. He also constantly advised me on many practical issues which I had tended to neglect, ensuring that even simple things like where switches should be placed would match my everyday lifestyle. While the entire reno project took about 2 weeks longer than planned due to Covid labour issues, Russell was very responsible and made sure to complete the handover with everything well wrapped up leaving no mess behind. It was definitely a pleasant and comfortable experience working with Russell, and a shout out to the Fineline carpentry and electrician team too for making my reno journey such a smooth one!

We first came across Fineline Design (ID: Chris) during a Qanvast Roadshow in Q4 2021. Out of the 4 IDs we met, Fineline Design proven themselves worthy on the basis that they: - understand our requirements - provided a reasonablely affordable quote - has prompt responses to our clarifications We were glad that we made this choice as even after mandating Fineline Design as our ID, their good service continue. As we are 1st time home owners, there were alot of decisions which we had to made which we were clueless about. Thankfully, Chris was able to provide us practical tips / guidance on our house design. He was also not pushy and gave us good alternatives to manage our budget constraints. Due to covid-19, there were delays in renovation completion but this was made up by Chris doing his best to schedule the respective contractors to their best availability. We didnt also have to take much time off to monitor/supervise the renovation as Chris was able to do so and he did a great job. Even after the renovation completion, when we encounter some minor issues, Chris remain as helpful as always We are thankful to have such a beautiful transformation thanks to Chris and Fineline Design. We will recommend them to all future homeowners who are looking for an honest, reliable and experienced ID!

Fineline was the first interior design company that we approached as a couple when we were initially scouting for IDs. Right from the first meeting we were sure that we would be going ahead with them and as we guessed even after looking at a few other firms we circled right back to them in the end. Both Russell and Teri were enthusiastic right from the start in trying to make the vision we had for our house a reality. They took on our project despite knowing that we were working on a very tight schedule and they managed to deliver it even ahead of their projected timeline. Russell was proactive in providing us with suggestions and workarounds to keep within our budget while still making sure our design was not compromised. He was very invested in our reno from the first day and that made us feel reassured that our IDs cared about the end product as much as we did. Teri was ernest in making sure the aesthetic appeal of the house was also maintained despite all the practical considerations. Her eye for design added nice touches to the finished house. Knowing our busy schedules they liaised with many external vendors/contractors on our behalf and provided us with information and quotations to facilitate our decision process. For first time home owners like us it was a boon that we could tap on their experience to ensure all the finer design details and intricacies were taken care of - having grooves/notches to hide wires within carpentry, designing our prayer altar with specific ideas etc. Most importantly, we could communicate with them easily and openly be it to raise up concerns/issues or ask about opinions on anything related to the house. They were readily available to answer all our questions and also catered to some last minute requests/changes. We will readily recommend Russell and Teri to an aspiring new home owners!

Just want to compliment Chris for the awesome job done throughout our renovation. We visited 3 ID firms a few months before we collect our BTO keys, and he was the only one who made us felt reassured. He did not blindly agree to all our requests, but would inform us, based on the floor plan and his ruler, that certain designs are just not possible. During the renovation phase, he sent us timely (almost daily) photos of the renovation progress, which is not far from the timeline he sent us (given the pandemic circumstances). He still drove us around shopping for lightings, sanitary wares, curtains etc. Thanks to him, we even managed to get 10% discount from Sol Luminaire purchase. Come post renovation, and with the 2 years warranty on workmanship, he still answered our really minor queries, like the free quartz shower tray he did for us can withstand how much weight. Overall, with Chris around, you wont have to worry about your renovation in the midst of your really busy work schedules and this pandemic.

I was recommended to Fevien 10 years back but was unable to get her service because of timing issues. This round - I contacted her again and thank goodness she's available! Still, I did due diligence and gone through 5 quotes before picking her. Her prices were reasonable, and her initial proposed design was the most practical - most other big names proposed 100% space coverage with fancy carpentry work (though they said everything is optional), but Fevien just pointed out what she thought was the best balance between building and buying (e.g. build vs buy for TV console, feature wall, privacy panel, study desks, platform bed etc.). The whole design process was interactive, and we touched on so many detail areas that we were not even asked in the previous renovation (which led to so many heartaches and sleepless nights.. absolute nightmare it was when your brick feature wall got conveniently replaced with fat plain while tiles.. argh!!) The level of detail with Fevien was absolutely fine - e.g. space for both when casement doors are opened and closed, width of walkway, strategic placement of every fixture on the wall, adequacy of power and light points (everyone talks about how many and where, but not whether it's sufficient or too much), etc. She also entertained fancy ideas I had such as wall lamps though we didn't do it out of practicality. Execution was excellent too. We only spotted less than 5 defects post-cleanup, and the 3rd party cleaners who cleaned every spot told us the carpentry workmanship is one of the best she had seen in years - no marks, no scars, just perfectly done. Ruixiang who helped out was also extremely attentive. He was there every time we drop by and helped with every need including troubleshooting the shower set and carrying heavy objects. Change and last minute (e.g. adding waterpipes for tankless dispenser) requests were handled efficiently (responded in minutes, quoted within same day) and added with professional advice. Overall the project was on time and on budget. Engaging Fevien was one of the best decisions I made this year. Thank you Fevien and Ruixiang for the excellent work!

Jayden from Fineline was brilliant during our renovation!! He’s meticulous, extremely responsive, and very professional and experienced. He was very careful to consider our budget without compromising on quality and his advice and input was invaluable! He made the entire process very fuss free and all my friends were surprised that the renovation went so smoothly especially during the covid period - no doubt a testament to his abilities! We would not hesitate to recommend him to all our friends who is in need of a contractor and will definitely go back to him for all future projects!
