Indeed, it’s a friendly clinic where nurses & dentists welcome you warmly & make you feel at ease during visits/treatments! Was greatly surprised at the service & professionalism on my first visit & have been looking forward to visits (I’m doing braces). Checks conducted were thorough & well-explained! If you wish to settle at a credible clinic, I’m sure you wont regret coming here :)

Time management is a serious issue with this dental clinic. They made my husband wait 1 to 2 hours even though appointment was made earlier. Appointment never start on time. My personal experience was they forgotten that they were supposed to call me to reschedule my appointment to remove my stitches n they totally overlooked on fixing this appointment! They called me few months later but i told them that i had removed the stitches myself instead! They have too many dentist in the clinic n i am of the view that the admin staff may not very well trained to handle so many schedule of different dentist. I wouldnt want to recommend since their charges arent cheap either. With that price, there may be other more worthy choice in the east.

I have had my braces and wisdom tooth surgery done with this dental clinic and I highly recommend it. All the staff are patient and friendly since the day I first visited this clinic a few years ago. The whole dentist team are very professional and highly skilled. Though I do have a problem with their waiting time as I often have to wait at least half an hour past my appointment time till I am able to be attended by the dentist. But the staff at the reception will always patiently explain to me why I have to be waiting.

My family recommended Friends Dental since i have always wanted to get my braces done. It is only my third appointment but it has been a great experience overall. I always feel anxious to go to any dental clinic but the dentist and his team are friendly and welcoming. I also had my teeth polished which was well done. They gave me great advice and explained the procedures clearly.

i’ve had 3 visits to this place so far. the first appointment i had was a consult to find the different problem areas, then they will do the more important issues the day itself and schedule another day for u to come in and do cleaning. (although i do think that’s abit long winded but i guess it’s ok) had restorative fillings done by a male dentist, well it’s not the cheapest (no CHAS subsidies on preventive fillings ?) but i guess to maintain dental health i dont really mind spending abit more monies. first time scaling and polishing was done in Dec 2020, waited for a little while after said appointment time but understandable cause busy period (near EOY) my recent appointment was at 12pm on a wednesday in June. I came at 12 and was served promptly, and the hygienist (Jenniex) that attended to me was so lovely ?. she took the time to explain areas that i need to be more careful on (regarding cleaning), wisdom tooth and possible cosmetic procedures i could do. overall a very nice experience at Friends Dental also this is a CHAS subsidised clinic soooo ??? if cleaning is free why not right hehe

I have been coming here for my regular scaling and polishing and the standard of service provided were very good. But recently, as I chose to get an aligner, they have changed my dentist to Dr Ng and I began feeling very unsatisfied with Friends Dental. Dr Ng scolds his staff in the presence of his patient. Furthermore, I myself, being a patient, who has got no knowledge on any dental treatment got scolded by him for not following his instructions when wearing the aligner. First of all, he did not brief me through how the aligner works. I didnt know how many levels of aligner I'll have to go through. And, his instructions are always very vague and unclear. I was not holding to the mirror yet he thinks I can understand what he wants me to do. I did not want to ask him explain further as he's always in a rush and does not think from a patient without dental knowledge point of view. I cant wait to finish the course of my aligner and change to another dental. Utterly disappointed.

My elder son started going to this clinic since he was 9 years old and received treatment for a slight underbite and possible misalignment of his jaw. Turned out that his lower jaw protrudes more than the upper jaw. We were seen by Dr Ng, who is an excellent dentist. He tried his best to help my son even when the National Dental Centre dentists were unable to do so without an invasive and tiring procedure. Dr Ng is highly skilled, careful and attentive. It may not seem apparent at first but he is patient, humble and warm too. Unlike some dentists who only seem interested in money, Dr Ng only recommends what is necessary and he is not calculative. He listens to our feedback and really takes action after that. The counter staff reflects the way Dr Ng treats his patient, with respect and courtesy. Just a warning that the wait can be quite long sometimes, even if you have an appointment. So it’s best to ask the counter staff roughly how long your wait will be. Then you can decide if you want to walk around to buy stuff first or have a drink before your turn. The counter staff are nice enough to call you when it’s nearing your turn. I highly recommend Dr Ng and Friends Dental Surgeons if you live nearby.

I was shocked to see the cost of my dental visit that day. Never have I had to pay more than $400 for my dental visit in the past before! This is my first time I had to pay this much for merely cleaning and fillings treatment. The fillings cost me $70 per tooth for upper and $90 for lower. While it was a pleasant experience and not a very painful one, I thought the dentist could have been more clear when communicating the pricing with the patients so that we can make more a informed decision. I now have second thoughts about going there again for my next visit.
