Had a very bad experience with doc yap today. I bring my mil to the clinic as her gum is swollen. This doc yap make comment which is really offensive and sacarstic remark on my mil. SO WHAT I AM PAYING FOR MY MIL, DOES IT MEAN THAT SHE HAS NO MONEY AND U MAKE FUN THAT MY MIL HAVE NO MONEY. HELLO, I PAY FOR MY MIL IS NOT BECOS SHE HAS NO MONEY, ITS I PERSONALLY WANNA PAY FOR HER TO DO MY DUTY AS A SIL. THIS IS NOT A FREAKING JOKE , ITS REALLY OFFENCIVE AND UNNECESSARY. WHEN DID MY MIL SAY SHE BRUSH HER TEETH UNTIL IT CRACK, AND YOU JUST ASSUME. DID YOU DO A CHECK BEFORE U SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND THE CAUSE OF IT. YOU ARE TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I did not read the comment before bringing my mil see him. If i read the comment, i will not bring her to see him. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. THIS WILL BE THE ONE AND ONLY TIME I WILL GO AND SEE HIM.

Had an unpleasant experience for my first ever visit to Dr Yap Yew Teck for scaling and polishing. Got sarcastic remarks for enquiries on Invisalign. In fact, he passed such remarks while doing the scaling so you have no way to reply, can only take in the sarcasm. Laughs through his sarcasm as if he enjoys it. He is also unnecessarily defensive when I wanted to highlight possible problem areas in my teeth.

I had cracked tooth extracted by Dr Yap. Was not happy with his way of answering my queries. As a first timer in to this dental clinic, I asked about the charges of x-ray and extraction. He vaguely gave me a price tag and commented that I am the only patient asking about prices. Not only he wasn't patient and understanding that patients can be generally nervous or fearful of dental treatment and he commented I was tense when he had some difficulty placing an object into my mouth for x-ray. I am not the only one commenting on Dr Yap. Please get him to improve on his doctor and patient communications. If not, he is going to offend a lot more of patients.

Was hesitant to visit this place after seeing a lot of bad reviews, but my experience earlier today was fantastic. My advise is to request for Dr. Wee Yong Kiat. He's a legend. He handled my complex wisdom tooth extraction pretty well and made me feel comfortable throughout. Solid la Dr. Wee!

i wish i read this comment session before i went for my appointment with dr Yap. I wanted to do scaling today, but when i lied down, he told me and i quote, 'you have a very very weak and brittle teeth, i see also scare to do scaling for you', then he proceed to do a filling for my fracture tooth and very little scaling, i still can see the calcification right next to my rabbit tooth. i've done scaling with a few dentists before and yes they said my teeth are brittle, but they didnt say they very scare to do scaling for me? and they cleaned my teeth very professionally. I was charged a total of SGD 176 for scaling and filling.

Dr Yap and his attendant are very understanding and nice. They know that my pain threshold is very low. They have assured me it won't be pain during extraction. The attendant is a very nice lady, she let me hold her hand to overcome my fear during the whole process. Despite having to travel more than an hour journey, I would still look for Dr. Yap. Have been using the same dentist for many years.

I regretted not reading the comments here before going to this clinic. I visited the clinic earlier today and was attended by Dr Yap. I fully agree with the negative comments on Dr Yap here. I did quite a bit of scaling and polishing in my Invisalign days and honestly this is the worst. It is extremely not thorough and it just feels like he wants to get it quickly done. At the end of it, he merely asked "any question"? He is supposed to comment if there are any issues with my teeth since I paid $25 for "consultation". I asked if there are any issue and he said all is good. All is good and I was charged the highest rate of $110 for scaling and polishing. He apparently is not bothered about negative comments about his attitude and service. I did inform the receptionist that I didn't receive any consultation but was told it is charged for all. I paid $25 for consultation, $6 for consumables and $110 for scaling and polishing for this. Huge waste of money. Please do yourself and your money a favour and avoid Dr Yap and this clinic.

I was attended to by Dr Wee Yong Kiat and it was honestly a very pleasant experience. For context I haven't seen a dentist nor gotten any dental work done in >5 years so I went in for a simple check up and scaling + polishing. He cleaned up my teeth really quickly, I was in an out in about 20 minutes. Would probably come back again in 6 months. Total cost was $146.
