β β β β β Google ought to have zero stars for eateries like this one that doesnβt deserve even one star! Iβve never encountered such callous and terrible attitudes and service level. I ordered a takeaway and was told it would take 20 mins. Thatβs a long wait for a restaurant when itβs quiet and off peak and for a few simple sushiβs but thatβs fine. After paying, I was chased out rudely by a wait staff who told me to wait outside. I stood there right outside the restaurant with my heavy grocery bags and never even left that place for one second. The two staff who served me saw me there and had to know I was there waiting for my takeaway. I was the only one waiting there so it was pretty damn obvious. Meanwhile the staff were standing around chatting has joking away. I waited and waited patiently for 20 mins, then 25, then 30, and then I decided to go in and ask why it was taking so long. When I entered, I saw my takeaway bag sitting forgotten on a table, for who knows how long! I asked the staff why they did not even bother to pass it to me outside or at least signal to me or tell me it was ready, and all I got was a sorry. What horrid nonchalant staff! I would never ever patronize this chain again! And when I got home, I realized how badly rolled and badly packaged the sushi was!! You totally donβt deserve what your actually means in Japanese!

β β β β β Felt unsatisfied with my meal at this outlet.
Fries came out cold and the salmon miso soup tasted like soya sauce.
Yuzu chawanmushi was meh, I prefer the original one.
Salmon was the best. Donβt know my luck or what, another plate of salmon sashimi came out with a strand of hairβ¦.

β β β β β Not the best Genki Sushi Outlet, but still pretty good. We do love some of the dishes such as:
? Sashimi Platter
? Mentaiko Fries
? Aburi Mentaiko Salmon Sushi
?Chawamushi (really good)
What to skip is that their Zaru Soba is abit lackluster and the fries and edamame could be served fresher/hotter.

β β β β β Given the current situation, the conveyor belt sushi concept has evolved to become one where orders are made on tablets and the belt is used to deliver the food directly to the table. In a way, this helps to ensure the freshness of the food and that you won't have to wait in vain for your favourite dishes while those seated nearer to the kitchen gets the first pick.
Generally, the sushi/dishes ordered were OK but there were a few issues:
- the aburi ika's texture was kind of mushy.
- the daigaku imo had too little syrup coating so it tasted like the average deep-fried sweet potato.
- some of the seafood toppings on the sushi tasted a bit lukewarm even though they were supposed to be raw so I couldn't help but wonder about the freshness of the seafood.
There was also a dish which got left out by the kitchen for some reason and the staff said that it was still being prepared after I had finished the food. Although it was said beforehand that the dish needed 15 minutes to prepare, the fact that it was close to 30 mins since I placed the order suggests that the delay was not due to preparation time. Considering that the visit was on a weekday afternoon and the place wasn't crowded, it seems odd that this has happened.

β β β β β Genki Outlet in Takashimaya. Good amount of seats but can get packed during peak hour. Get a queue number at the entrance and wait for your number to called and shown on the TV. Food Quality is consistent with other outlets.

β β β β β Food is good for the price ?? beef was delicious, teriyaki was good but not excellent. The chicken was juicy, but the rice served with it was too coated with sauce for my taste. Seaweed salad was seasoned with a very mild spice. Tuna salad was good. Happy with the sushi taste and options. I'll come back.

β β β β β First time trying Genki after all these years. Came on a Fri night and the place was packed. Each item took extremely long to arrive by conveyor belt sushi standards. Some items even took 20-25 minutes which was shocking. Food quality is actually ok. Service was very pleasant from the uncle and aunty. But based on this slow experience i still prefer the other sushi chain in SG with train concept & ipad ordering.
