Matchaya - Takashimaya - 391 Orchard Rd

Popped by for a drink but ended up having dinner here. The croissant was reasonably priced and the ingredients were really fresh! The teas were also very interesting and Uji green tea is just the best! So glad to have a place in Singapore I can enjoy tea from Uji and a chill vibe~ The matcha latte was really good too:)

Offers a wide selection of drink, dessert and meal options. Tried the croissant and it was so good and buttery. The matcha and hojicha are good as well, but prefer the hojicha as its sweeter as compared to the matcha one. The matcha one is too bitter for my taste buds. And yes we got the counter seats and got to see the tea “barista” in action! On the other hand, always popped by to get the cold whisked hojicha and matcha to go (the ones in the bottle), good for next day bfast drink!

Wide selection of matcha/hojicha based drinks. And they were awesome. Too bad the same can't be said about the food. The mac and cheese was passable but the 20 bucks for a tasteless plate of reheated beef short rib. This definitely is a good place for drinks and snacks. But thats all.

Came for their Sakura Season set and their drinks and desserts were great! The sakura soft serve brought back memories of Japan for me ☺️ We had additional drinks - Matcha Milk & Houjicha Milk, I personally love the Houjicha Milk! Lovely place to hang out with friends and we’ll be back for sure! P.S. They have great & friendly service staff ??

Always loved Matchaya’s desserts and drinks. First time trying their savoury items! The pesto linguine was really good! Pesto tasted fresh, creamy without being jelak. Salmon pieces were kind of dry but didn’t take away too much from the overall enjoyment of the dish! Tamago croissant was crispy and enjoyable. Mentaiko fries were unfortunately a miss, with dry and hard fries, and underwhelming mentaiko. Overall, I’d stick to coming here for desserts. ?

Finally a proper Matchaya for dine in! Went around tea time and there was a rather long queue waiting to dine in. Didn't wait long though and got ourselves a table. I think this is like a Mecca for people who are matcha lovers. There are so many interesting matcha items to order! So interesting they also have matcha coffee! Price wise is a little steep but I suppose the quality of the matcha they use could be well worth the money. Ordered their signature matcha milk and it was really good and thick. For those people who are really not used to good matcha it might be a tad too bitter. The signature parfait was quite good too, it's a few dollars more expensive then the individual ones and you get to taste all 4 flavours at 1 go. The croissant would be nicer if they did some heating to it. It was cold and I think nothing beats a disappointing croissant when it's not crispy and flaky. Really wished could have more space to order more food...

First time experiencing dining. It’s very fresh and great experience. Price is very affordable too. I love and enjoy the quality of matcha tea ?. It’s so smooth!

Offers a great selection of tea/dessert options! All the cutlery and utensil used are so well designed. Just eating there makes me feel so happy. Falling in love with the hokkaido milk soft serve. So creamy and love the milky fragrance. Other than great drinks and desserts, they also serve main course menu. Dived into their signature beef ribs stew and did not fail to impress! Recommend everyone to try!
