I decided to choose Alex as this is a big change for me after seeing many positive reviews about his work. My hair was thick and wavy, but Alex was able to give it a nice shape and trim. Alex also suggested a volume rebonding to make my hair more manageable daily. Though I have seen many compliments of Alex on Google review but I was still pleasantly surprise to experience it firsthand. Alex taught me blow drying techniques to manage my hair on a daily basis. He was meticulous and sincere in his service. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have a long-term reliable hairstylist.

I headed to the salon with no idea in mind, but Alex patiently talked through the different color and styles I could choose from - to ensure I am satisfied with the end result. I left the salon that evening with dark purple hair and tints of ash purple highlights, a stark contrast to my normal dry bleached hair. The whole process did not felt long as I had a great conversation with Alex. I was pleasantly surprised at how my hair that looked listless and damaged was transformed into one that looked luxurious and silky. Alex's creativity was impressive. Had an amazing experience and will definitely patronize this salon again!

He was so friendly and easy going which made the whole experience even better. I went back a second time for him to dye my hair. The results were beyond my expectations as ive heard many times that my hair is super black thus hard for colours to show. The hair dye he did for me not only preserved my curls but also popped out(the way i wanted) 100% recommend him for your hair!

I was initially shy with colours but after my first try with Shine, I’m loving it! Shine was and is my hair stylist and I have no regrets! Not only are the colours organic, Shine’s good at mixing and matching colours to suit you and your needs! Listens and gives honest feedback and advices and does not hard sell anything at all. Leave your hair to him and he’ll do wonders!

Alex actually ask me what after effect that I'm looking for. He is really patient and meticulous, answering my questions and advising me on hair care, and how do I take care and maintain it at home. There is no ammonia or chemical smell which most Salons have it ... Even while doing it or after I go back home. Love how detailed he is, and trust his professionalism. Did Balayage Color, Caramel~ I love it! If you wanna have your tresses in good hands, look for Alex Yen.
