Finally get my hands on a plate of this CKT here. Have to wait about 40mins even I'm in the queue 6th position. Few of them in front could had ordered multiple package. Anyway the taste was real good with nice flavour and wok hey. However doesnt feel the aroma and the fragrance of those top ckt. Still consider the stall produced a good plate to crave for. Cockles too small and few pcs even $5 a plate.

This shop is helmed by a husband and wife pair who are already in their 60s. Wanting to dine here requires patience and timing. The stall only operates on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. The queue is also long and takes about 45 mins to 1 hour. Each dish of Char Kway Teow takes about 3 mins to prepare. For those who wait, you are rewarded with one of the best Char Kway Teow in Singapore. Even though the stall closes at 2pm, it sells out around 1pm, so if you are not in the queue by 12:30pm, chances are you are unlikely to get your order in, even if you patiently wait till around 1pm when the Auntie comes out to do a countdown and you pray really hard that few in front are ordering the 5 packet limit. For those unwilling to wait, there are always queue whiners giving 1-star and 2-star online ratings and the more polite 3-star "there are better quality elsewhere" online ratings. General Verdict: Fried Kway Teow done the right way. The long queue for it does not lie. Anyone giving 3 stars or less are usually those complaining of the queue and/or never having consumed any morsel of the wonderful Char Kway Teow here Queue Situation: Expect to wait 40 mins to 1 hour after joining the queue. If you are not in queue by 12:30pm, you are unlikely to get your order accepted. Last order is around 1pm when the Auntie comes out to do a countdown Prices: SG$4 (small) and SG$5 (big) Payment Mode: Cash Only Is this worth a try? Yes. Is it worth making a trip just to try it? Yes. Is this worthy of the Michelin Bib Gourmand Singapore Award? Yes. Item Ordered: 1) Item: Char Kway Teow (Big Serving) - Generous servings of Fried Eggs, Chinese Sausages, Fish Cake Slices, Cockles and Pork Lard - Fried plain with chili Description: Great Wok Hei, Great Flavor, Great Taste. Great food requires patience. Verdict: Excellent, Die Die Must Order Price: SG$5

Delicious char kuay teow, but too slow. Not worth the long wait. Especially during peak hour.

Ate this on 5th April 2022 still tastes as good when I had it 9 years ago! The aroma of the pork lard gives it a unique taste above other ckt elsewhere despite the long queue it was worth the wait.

Char Kway Teow (SGD $4) @ Guan Kee Fried Kuay Teow. . Since 1969, this legendary stall has been reowned for their classic rendition of char kway teow, drawing queues of up to 40 minutes long during their limited opening hours. . Each plate is individually fried, the wide flat rice noodles and long cylindrical yellow wheat noodles tossed with crisp bean sprouts, wispy egg, crunchy chye sim / chinese flowering cabbage, chewy lup cheong / dried cured pork sausage, tender fish cake, and juicy blood cockles. . Balanced lashings of dark sweet soy sauce lend a sweet salty note to the smoky savoury sweet flavours within, while the chili lends a sharp spicy kick. Yum.
