Chuan Kee Boneless Braised Duck 全记 - 20 Ghim Moh Rd

Decided to swing in to Chuan Kee at Ghim Moh Food Centre to try their famous boneless braised duck. Arrived at 4:40pm, I was fourth in the queue, not too bad. The team of 5 running the stall was fast and friendly. Taking orders down the line and dishing out the orders. I had their Larger Set Meal. For this set, the duck serving was good (see photo). It comes with half a Tau Kwa, half a hard boiled braised egg, a tablespoon of braised peanuts and a few slices of cucumber. I had an additional duck liver. All these came to $6.50; which was reasonable. Wifey had the Noodle Set Meal at $5.80. The meal came with a bowl of soup with herbal taste, it was warm and tasty. The duck was tender and delicious. The braised tau kwa and peanut were so good. Duck liver was firm and nice. While we were eating our meal, the queue continued to build up but with the fast work of the stall team, the queue actually moved very quickly. After our meal, we wanted to order a takeaway for my son, so wifey joined the queue - 10th down the line. The stall assistant saw her in the queue and came over to tell her ”no need to queue as she was dining in, all we needed to do was to inform her our takeaway requirement, and she would bring us the order.” That was really good customer service indeed! Made our visit more enjoyable.

The Duck Rice Set was yummy! The duck was tender. The herbal soup was very good too. I must say this is one of the best braised duck rice in Singapore! $4.80 for medium size + $1 for additional braised pork.

Rice is awesome. Sauce is awesome. Duck is awesome. Spare parts are awesome. Egg and toukwa awesome. Soup is awesome. Price also awesome. $5.30. And they not stingy on the spring onion. Wow love it.

I usually like to match braised duck with yam rice but at Chuan Kee at Ghim Moh, I will always order their porridge as I have yet to find this texture anywhere else. Not sure if I make any sense, but it has a fluffy texture that I enjoy. And it’s even tastier after mixing in the braised sauce. Braised duck only rice set ($5.50). This set was delicious and my new favourite place for braised duck. The dish’s every component worked so well together. Tender and well seasoned duck. The rice and soup was flavoured well with braised spices. Do try out their the chili sauce.

Listed every year in Michelin Bib Gourmand, the braised duck served here in heavenly and definitely the best duck rice in Singapore.?????? The set meal starts from $3.50 and comes with a plate of duck rice, peanuts, tofu, egg and the most flavourful herbal soup, similar to Malaysian Bak Kut Teh. Highly recommended ??????

went because of high reviews, and it was tasty. herbal soup taste and sauce on the duck. the service is also excellent. only thing I feel they can improve is to give more portion of duck meat. this plate is $5.80 as I requested lu rou (braised meat) to be added. cant remember if is $2 or $1. anyway, recommend this place since they give braise peanuts, cucumber, bean curd, soup and half an egg

One of the best braised duck out there ?? Was recommended this place by my friends and decided to pop by since we are in the area. ⏰ Joined the fast moving queue and was served my food within 5-10 minutes of queuing, with about 3-4 customers in front of me. ? the food was really great, although they did pack it as takeaway without asking. Rice was well cooked, the sauce was great and sits well with the rice and duck. Duck was tender even though I ordered breast meat - paired with the side dishes that comes with the set meal, it was an awesome dish altogether ??
