When I go there, always they are closed. But finally I got it. I love this one.

Still one of the better places for Hokkien mee. Lots of reviews complain about service and environment but really, it’s not something you’d expect for hawker food.

Like any good Singaporean I saw and queue so I joined it. I am partial to a good Hokkien Mee the black Malaysian type but will make do work for Singaporean yellow noodle version. Sadly this was not up to par. Somehow the gravy was grainy even though for taste was passable. But what took it from ok too fail was for total lack of lardy goodness of pork fat and the use of commercial pre-fried shallots for garnish. For a any hawker worth his salt that's a no no. And sure enough the tasteless somewhat hard bit of grainy shallots confirmed a never to buy again from me. So I can't figure the queue....... is my taste for versions of this dish off? Not that much I think. Just read the other reviews. Did we eat in the same place? Well 1 of 5 agree with me. But I stand by my recommendation.

Paid $25 for 5 packets. Only the noodles were flavourful. The prawns were bland and tasted just like frozen prawns. There was no crispy pig lard (猪油渣). Service was slow as the waiting time was about 1 hour. Definitely not worth the wait.

This is the best authentic Fried Hokkien Noodles that I have ever had for a long while. The noodles are nicely done, not too wet not too dry. The prawns are de-shell, and tastefully added with strips of squids, porks and pork larks. It’s top up with fried scallions. The queue and wait can be long so be patience. Even though it might close at 2pm and 8pm, it’s while sold out which normally happens an hour before that. So be there early!

Ordered takeout with my own glass lunchbox, but it doesn't affect the taste of the prawn noodles! Love the flavors of prawns in the sauce and noodles, but just limited to the prawns themselves! And the chili sauce adds complexity and some kicks (not the all-spicy kind) too, must have~ Worths the long queue, but do beware only while stock lasts, so to avoid disappointment do try to go earlier~
