The dim sum is good and very reasonably priced. However, be prepared to wait awhile after getting your Q nbr.

Just tried it with my 2 friends. The Pau, Siew Mai and Har kau are nice. However the prawn Cheong Fan looks like is has just been unfozen and taste bland even with the sauces. But at $2.50 per plate you cannot complain too much. The wait for us was like 1hr 15 mins mainly because a few before us ordered like 3 full bags.

Truly divine. Set in a hawker Centre but quality comparable to a restaurant. The Har Gow (Xia Joao) is fresh, juicy and succulent.

Excellent Siew Mai at affordable price of $2.50 for 3. Full of prawns, pork meat and not overly seasoned with pepper. Quality and freshness rival those in restaurants. Went in Saturday noon and the char Siew bao was already sold out. The stall makes the dim sum on the spot in their stall. Will be back to try the bao.

Worth queueing for. Charsiu bao taste very nice, jia xiao / hargao, shrimp very succulent and naturally sweet. Shao mai also taste very good. Must try when you visit here. Take the que number first, and wait until it appear on screen.

Freshly made in front of your eyes Dim Sum at $2.50 per basket is probably unheard of these days in Singapore. Yet here in the middle of bustling Chinatown, HK Mongkok Dim Sum had been operating for years. Even at 2pm post lunch time, the numbering system queue puts me at a 20-people wait of about 40 mins. Many old regulars are here for takeaways. And ahead of me I can already hear, Braised Chicken feet, Prawn Cheong Fan and their heavenly Har Kau already sold out. Luckily their other top seller, Char Siew Pau is still available. At $2.50 for three or less than 90 cents per freshly made pork bun, this is the best value anywhere. Skin is fluffy and the fillings just right, good proportion of sauce and meat fillings a little on the sweet side rather than savoury. Also no overpowering oyster sauce taste like many coffeeshop baos. 3 huge siew mai is alright, not the best I had but can't complain. My only gripe is the Char Siew Cheong Fan's skin while smooth, is a little on the thick side. Also Dim Sum should be served in their bamboo baskets rather than transferred to disposable plates for convenience. Still at $2.50 a basket, really can't complain can you?

Siew mai is good, filled with Prawns and doesn't have a weird marinade to it. It has a good meat to prawn ratio and is a must try. Didn't get to try the char siew bao as it was sold out, would suggest coming in the morning if u wanna try the char siew bao
