Ordered wanton noodle and fried rice Rice was damp and clumpy with a weird smell, I had 2 mouths and gave up. Wanton was not fresh with strong alkaline taste in everything. Wife ate 2 mouths and gave up. I tried the wanton and regurgitated it back out out of fear for my health . Would have entered zero star here but not allowed.

food looked good on the menu but taste was very disappointing. ordered the chicken cutlet noodles. noodles were gloopy and full of very thick alkaline starchy water and a touch of oyster sauce for salt. very strong alkaline flavour which ruined the noodles even though they were relatively crunchy. the chicken cutlet was probably the worst I've ever tasted. the flavour of the chicken was exactly like those really cheap meats and the batter has a very strong grease flavour. also tried their promotional pencai item which was mostly vegetables and quite pricey considering there was only 1 of each delicacy. the taste is ok but nothing special. would not recommend.

Reminiscing the taste of HK wanton mee & mango pomelo sago. Best wanton mee in Lot 1 albeit its higher cost.

They offered me free ice lemon tea for giving them 5* review. Not sure whether that's an ethical practice or not. However, their beef brisket noodle is good. The last time I had these noodles were back in Hong Kong. Fantastic.

Order their special fried rice. Ask the lady is it wrong fried rice? Then I ask y look so different from the menu at store and online? She say here only have 1 fried rice. It looks so different and taste awful at least to me. The least they could have mentioned by word of mouth or indicate in the menu that it has salted egg yolk. Not everyone appreciates salted egg or the salted yolk, especially in the fried rice..

Ah Balling Tang Yuan (SGD $3.50) @ Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert. . This franchise has several outlets across Singapore, including several in the North, such as Choa Chu Kang. . Their version of this dessert is unique, served in a warm osmanthus flower infused soup, having a lovely floral herbal sweet flavour. . The glutinous rice ball is a little smaller than usual, but the skin has a soft chewy medium thickness, yielding easily to reveal the rich gritty creamy black sesame paste within, with its earthy sweet nutty flavour. . They only seem to have 1 choice for the filling though. But I like it for the delicious soup.
