Hougang Jing Jia Mutton Soup - 51 Old Airport Rd

Sorry to say this, soup quite bland and tasteless. Standard seemed to have dropped.

Big serve, very nice, price is acceptable, must try!

Ordered $8 mixed soup and was given lots of inedible bones and fats. Soup was bland too. There are so many good food at Old Airport Rd food centre, don't waste your meal allowance on this.

Hougang Jing Jia Mutton Soup. It seems to me, that the broth has taken a dip towards south. Bland. Portion was ok, for S$10.00, with a bowl of rice at S$0.50. At first, I thought that it was a rather generous portion. Lo and behold, lots of knuckles hidden inside, 4 knuckles to be precise. Nothing much to chew on, real estate taken up for nothing. 2 ribs. 1 miserable piece of tendon. Yup. 1. Uno. 一. Satu. Some tribe and stomach. That's it. It's not that I'm one who loves to complaint, which I rarely do, but for this, I had to break out of my practice and rant a little. Stall owner was friendly though. He even bothered asking if I'd like to have oil (from stewing the mutton) added into the soup. How can I say no? It's definitely the first time I've been asked such. Overall, it was "MEH". Get it?

Bad customer service and will not return to buy again. Be it how tasty is the soup, bad customer service has affected the taste of the soup.

Ordered the mixed mutton soup. They have $6/$8/$10. Boss says there will be ribs for $8 and above. The ribs and tendon and tripes are so soft and tender! Soup is very tasty too. However do note that there will be the mutton “smell”. Wife doesn’t like it due to that.

Ordered the $6 mixed soup. Meat was really tender but soup lacking of flavour/herbal taste.

I ordered a $12 bowl asking for more meat and skin…instead I got a lot of bones and fat. ?Soup was so-so lacking in herbal taste. Auntie was very friendly though. Overall I would say that the portion and taste was ok for the price.
