A very high standard for fried fish bee hoon. Thick cut of fish, fragrant and flavorful soup. Totally worth $6.

Fried fish bee hoon ($6) - very thick slabs of fish meat. Good flavour from the fish and the soup. Good portion.

This is my go to place for a bowl of heart warming fish soup. The boss is patience enough to cook one bowl by one bowl instead of making a precooked fish and soup. The soup is very tasty and generous portion of fishes. Queuing time is a byproduct of its 5-stars worth dish.

Ordered Fish Head Beehoon ($6) & Fried Fish Beehoon ($6). Queued and waited for a total of 30 mins on a sat night for our food. Ours had no XO so we probably had to specify we wanted XO for our fish soup? But the soup was umami, had the wok hei taste and super rich and creamy. It was reminiscent of the old school tzi char kind of fish soup. Very good and hits the spot. Fried fish was was ok, 4 generous chunks of meat. Fish head was veryyy generous. Only downside is that they gave a lot of bones (for the fish head) and there was tiny pieces of fish bones in the soup.

Will I queue for the food again? The answer is YES! Saw the long queue at this stall at old airport road hawker centre. Decided to join the queue for the first time. It took me about 25 min to get my order. We ordered the fried fish bee hoon soup. (S$6). The soup was tasty. The fish was nice and in generous portion. We did not feel thirsty after the meal. They serve both thick and thin bee hoon. Remember to specify it upfront; otherwise the default is the thick bee hoon.

Had fish head beehoon soup. Soup was really flavourful. Queue + waiting time of around 30 min at 8.30pm weekday evening. Worth the wait.

Had the fish head soup for $6. Overall it was quite good value with generous portions. The soup has a rich creamy taste and goes really well with a bowl of rice. However, fish head being fish head had ALOT of bones. You really have to be quite an expert at fishes if not you will definitely be one at the end of the meal.

So much MSG all 3 of us felt thirsty for few hours after this meal. We drank the soup, it was good and fried fish were meaty. My friends ordered the fish head and those were fried till fragrant. Soup base was somewhat lacking the umaminess and diluted with water seasoning, alcohol taste was minimal. Won't really recommend unless you don't mind an MSG attack later.
