Please avoid this company at all cost. I had previously engaged Huan Bao engineering pte ltd on 02 December2021 to produce my main door. A catalogue was provided to me and I selected American walnut 9688,c/C (see image below). The cost of the door was $1180. When I enquired the status of the door production on 15 December, I was shocked to see that it was a stark difference in terms of the color and wood grain of the door I had chosen (See image). The staff, Janet shared that the catalogue provided previously was one without lacquer and wood grains are often different. This was definitely not communicated to me during my purchase. Also, the difference from the catalogue and the actual door produced was too big to be accepted. Janet and the boss then advised me that if I’m really unhappy and would like to complain, I could complain to the supplier, exquisite wood instead. This was absurd as I paid and engaged the company, not the supplier. As I was rushing to shift, I sought for a solution and Janet advised that she could redo the door but I had to pay the cost for the re- lacquering fee of approximately $35 on the 16 December. I thought that’s still a reasonable amount. However, on the next day on 17 December, she sent me an invoice of an additional payment of $350. This means the total cost of the door will be $1530 and she claimed she miscalculated and overlooked that there were other additional fees involved. I asked if I could have a refund but was rejected and the company started not responding to my messages and calls. I shared my intention to put up bad reviews but the boss asked me to do so without any form of apology. I had given up hope on this company. While I lost some money, I hope all consumers can avoid the same mistake I did and please, do not engage this irresponsible company.
