β β β β β My favorite ichiban boshi branch. Spacious and nice view off the big windows on the streets below. Located on the 2nd floor next to putien restaurant. Staff here are friendly and attentive although they are busy as this branch is always crowded.

β β β β β Waiting time during off peak hours on Sunday around 2+pm was rather long coupled with the fact that the senior crew took too long to give out queue numbers when there are several of them moving within sight inside the restaurant.
Furthermore there were tables available but diners were made to wait for 15 minutes before being seated.
Sushi served was overall good and serving time reasonable. However the agedeshi tofu was a bit disappointing. Below par as compared to other Japanese restaurants.
Overall staff were polite and attentive but it begs the question why the reception service was so slow when it could have been much better.

β β β β β Is a good place to have your Japanese meal. Food is great and the environment is good too. Just enjoy your food with scenery if your are given a seat near the window.

β β β β β Thereβs always a queue here during meal times on weekends due to the decent quality offered for the price, and also partly because of the limited dining options at Parkway Parade.
Thereβs a good selection of food available - particularly recommend their set meals and hot-stone rice. My favouriteβs got to be the Japanese curry chicken + tempura set. Do not get the soba though - dry, tasteless and seems factory made.
Service standards here seem to have improved over the years.

Reasonably priced and good service.
Came today for their tea time special... less than $10! Very reasonable, delicious and satisfying. Just enough for an early dinner or tea time indulgence.

β β β β β Used to frequent this ichiban boshi outlet but ever since shrinkflation, the quality hasnβt been the same. My favourite dishes are the beef katsu toji and mentai sushi roll. However, very apparent that portions are a lot smaller and quality has dropped. Used to be really good for value but now itβs average.

β β β β β The family diner is surprisingly good and it never fails to impress with their new menu item. For the price you pay, I would say itβs ok. The flavour is almost there but I thought the ingredients could be fresher and better quality. The beef bowl I ordered was not a 5-star. It was chewy and the garlic chips were dull and soggy. But then again, for the price, I would say itβs acceptable.

β β β β β Mid to high end Japanese restaurant serving good food and fresh sushi! Food is well prepared to high Japanese standards, including efforts put in the presentation while serving. Sushi is very fresh (yes Iβm repeating myself) and goes well with the wasabi (seems freshly made and not powder mixed). Good place to make a good impression to your girlfriend, hahaha!
