β β β β β I thought the food was good but it was the Service that blew me away. Very patient and friendly service, they even regularly came over to top up the green tea politely even though I was sitting there for a long time. I just want to acknowledge how great they were.
The restaurant also has a smaller sushi train. Very spacious place.
I ordered a Unagi mentai don which is something really different as I don't normally see mentaiko sauce paired with unagi. Something different. The mentai sauce was good. It does overpower the unagi but I was fine with it.

β β β β β Food looks delicious. However, when eaten, it feels like canned food. The sushi is cold and salty, the udon is nothing special. Way too much sodium!! Easy on the salt pls!

β β β β β Really bad food that was a long way from what was shown in the pictures on the menu. The worst bit though was when leaving I went to the toilet and the chef came in at the same time and when finished didnβt wash his hands. Utterly disgusting and unhygienic

β β β β β Nice Japanese restaurant, and we like especially given the vegetarian options. Tofu, cucumber sushi, vegetable tempura, Mozzarella cheese sticks are all good.

β β β β β Sakae Sushi has moved to it new location along East Coast Road. Located on 2nd storey of a shophouse, it was an interesting concept of dining. The food has maintained its yummy sushi and other authentic Japanese foods. Enjoyed the meal with wonderful ambience and service. My family will return and dine in.

β β β β β still one of the best sushi places in SG, although locations seem reduced in numbers. the newer one on east coast rd however very strategic among all the hipster cafes.

β β β β β This place is nothing like the other Sakai Sushiβs Iβve ever been to - and not in a good way. Itβs got the atmosphere of a canteen, and the food was deeply average. First and last time weβll go.
