Ichikokudo Hokkaido Ramen

Queued for half an hour on Saturday night. It is a Halal ramen Japanese restaurant. The ramen is tasty and rich.

Service was quick and delightful! Love the food. Ramen was delicious, hot and fresh! I especially love the karage, juicy with no extra skin or fats. I enjoyed the fried garlic that was in the karage. We shared the Hokkaido ice cream, uber creamy and luscious. Delicious!! My first time but will definitely not be last. Woo-hoo!

Their new morning breakfast is smashing. I had the spicy porridge. The lady who attended to me and also manning the cash register is very welcoming and professional. Thank you.

I had an amazing experience at the restaurant. The waiters presented me with clarity on the menue as well as providing me an extra soup too! The place is well cleaned and the ambiance just serves the japanese feel to it. The food is delicious of course. Salmon sashimi is the best. Highly recommend!

Located in North point city. Note that this is a halal restaurant as well. We had tomato beef ramen and the original ramen. On tomato beef ramen, The tomato sauce is quite thick, and can hardly be called "soup" for the ramen. Perhaps I was expecting something like Haidilao's soup base, but guess I was wrong. With how thick it is, it can be quite salty. Perhaps to the liking of most, but guess not to me. Beef sukiyaki slices were quite thin, which is to be expected. Portion seems normal. What's weird is that they added some green leafy veg in it, which doesn't seem like a good combination. Maybe beansprouts might be a better fit? On original ramen, The soup base is nice, but slightly thick still. Note that this is original broth, not the one which says thick or clear broth. If you dilute it more I do think it would taste better. On the egg, you can see that it's supposed to be the runny type. But for some reason the egg is overcooked. Opinion here, but ramen eggs absolutely need to be runny, not fully boiled. Gyoza is also slightly salty, and somehow it tastes like it was taken out from the freezer just minutes ago. I like the ambience and concept however for where guests are seated. You need to take out your shoes, climb up some steps then down to be able to sit at the table. Interesting concept. Might not visit here again for ramen. If I do, I guess you can hardly go wrong with the original

It's running clearly with too little staff. I am impressed that it’s a halal restaurant. The restaurant's design is quite lovely, where you get a sort of tatami feel. (Alert, I am naturally biased against yellow noodles) Sapporo Miso Ramen is quite an exciting mix with the taste of butter combined with the sweetness of the corn; however, because it's Halal chicken bones still can’t provide the full body taste of the soup required by the noodles. I liked the Kyoto Uji Matcha Latte, which has a good mix with the ice cream, just a note, it tends to melt quite quickly, so remember to push it down before it flows all over the place ?

Like the setting of this restaurant. Very simple. The variety of sides and mains are delicious too ( comes with watermelon slices). The serving size is just right. The vegetable that goes with the ramen(rich broth) was plenty too. Customers are handed menu but ordering is via hp.

Brought my parents out for a Sunday lunch, and were lucky to score seats immediately at Ichikokudo. Food was delicious, parents and I enjoyed the food a lot and it was a great meal. Spicy ramen could be spicier, felt more like a tomato broth rather than the expected nose leakage due to the spice. However, it was tasty still and I slurped it all down in the end. Parents approved of the food as well, some chicken and duck action going on for them. Sides were delicious too, well-prepared and served in good time. Will be back again for sure! :)
