Fresh and quick udon in tasty broth. Tried with both onsen egg or beef, real good.

Did not enjoy it - upsized portion was still relatively small, taste was just mainly salt and soya sauce from their udon sauce. Comparing it to the ichiban dry udon that I had, ichiban is wayyyy better. Udon was not Q, just flat. Probably some cheap variant. Also be prepared to wait 20 mins in an afternoon with nobody because the chefs have no idea how to make the food. I saw them flipping through a printed piece of paper which showed the steps on how to make the food. Imagine that. Subsequently lots of staff were called to the kitchen to help after customers piled up. Imagine a group of newbies making your food. That’s how it’ll end up tasting. Manager Kim saw the crowd piling up and customers looking increasingly frustrated, chose to turn her head and walk away. Deliberately avoided eye contact with people.

It was alright.. If you like salty noodle soup, go for it. I find it too salty for my liking.

Very clean “food court style” Japanese dining place at the basement of Jurong Point. Nice decor and reasonable service by the many part time staff that work here. I came down in the morning at 11am just as they were opening. The supervisor was inspecting for cleanliness and making sure that the stalls were ready (they were not, however). I had the udon and picked my sides off the counter. They were a tad on the oily side and after having the first piece I was a little sick of the fried stuff. The cold udon was pretty good, though I wish they would offer a soba option at the same price point. It was a simple process to order, pick sides and pay at the counter. Service was a tad slow and they were struggling to prepare the ingredients in the morning. Otherwise, everything else was DIY; I had to find my own seats, get drinks and condiments. There is no table service here FYI. Price wise, the food is on the moderate expensive side for this layout, quality and service. It was OKAY when it came to value for money. What got them more stars on this review is the ambience and decor in the dining area. Everything looked so pretty! Besides udon, the stalls here offer bento sets, skewers and sushi as well. I’ve tried the bento which was good, and I will be back to try everything else.

Consistent bowl of udon each time I visit this place. Loved the beef (Niku) udon $8.90, slightly on the sweeter side. Recommended for an affordable filling meal ?
