★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little restaurant, quiet and spacious. People here are really friendly. Although there's no Aircon there is a working ceiling fan, and the food is really delicious

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are actually caterers instead of a full on restaurant. To be honest, I think the prices are high, but considering they don’t have much Turnover, it’s understandable. The taste is good, but it didn’t blow my mind, it’s definitely of decent quality and worthy of a return visit, if not for the price. The chicken curry sauce was thick and not watery, the sayur lodeh was ok. The beef rendang though tastes so-so and tender, was definitely not worth the price . Maybe it’s me, but the otak was nice and fat with a good flavour, but I didn’t think it beat the one I just had in Malaysia. I will return for another visit with my Wife because the quality is good, but I hope I’ll
Be wowed the next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden gem. Feel homely and food are authentic. Original taste and very comfortable. Food are prepare in mind of health conscious, making effort in using low fat ingredients that might not be visible. Friendly staff/chef/owner. Great family bonding. Went there with 10pax and everyone enjoyz the hospitality. Although small space accomodate 10-12 pax max, pre reservation if you have such big group. No regrets, totally worth the calories.
Must eat food:
Otah, Prawn roll, Sayak Lodeh, pig trotter, hae cho, curry chicken

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the low reviews are puzzling to say the least. If you prefer spicy or fast service, look elsewhere. The place has never claimed to do either.
My family and I enjoyed the food thoroughly. The ingredients are fresh, and not as pricey as some claim for Peranakan food. Would recommend the vegetable curry, hei zhor and assam fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, this hidden gem just amazes us. We ordered 7 (or technically, 8) dishes: fish curry, vegetable curry, hae zor, 2x otah, pork ribs, oxtail soup and pig trotters. They were clean on the palate, VERY fresh and just super different from other restaurants. I would highly recommend this place for health-conscious people who are searching for an authentic Nyonya taste. The elderly couple were so cute and they made an effort to present the dishes well. Most important of all, the uncle played his own record music, adding to the whole laidback vibe of the restaurant.
We were here for Mother's day and I'm so glad my mother loved it! :)
Ps. 8 dishes + 2 rice costs slightly over $100. Paynow is also accepted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think a lot of people would have been put off by the look and feel of the place if they walk past. The fact that it isn't accessible by mass public transport doesn't help. The dining area of this place seems to have been converted from the living room of a residential unit. Nevertheless, we walk in on the day of visit having seen the good reviews.
Menu isn't extensive compared to other peranakan restaurants. But its because the menu focus solely on peranakan dishes unlike other places. Food quality is very good. We ordered ayam buah keluak, honey plum pork rib and ox tail stew. Very much wanted to try the curry dishes but abandoned the thought as it would be too many dishes for us.
What we dislike was when ordering, the male owner kept pushing certain dishes to us. Also made comments like ordering certain dishes would have been cheaper when we took our time to decide. He probably thought we took time to decide because of the price which wasn't the case (some reviewer commented about this). I don't think the owner was being rude, just not tactful. After ordering, he and the lady boss owner would walk over occasionally to make small talks which improved the overall mood that was sullied earlier.
This place is for people who value good food over atmosphere/instagramable moments. Lastly, this place accept take away and there were a few when we were there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem for delicious peranakan food in Siglap. The nice owner gentleman was crooning away live at the oldies he recorded many years ago, right at our table while also chatting with us. Not crowded but not many seats available. I finished all the chicken curry sauce, to 2 bowls of rice. Katong Delights is a delight for a natural windy afternoon lunch.
