Kway chap - Pig’s organ soup and take-away. It is My second visit in a month, after morning walk nearby. Teochew style of Kway Chap as the owner came from Kelantan. Go order braised pork’s trotter, braised duck meat for 4 and their portion is generous. It tastes good and recommended for a try.

As a regular Kway Chap person, who eats Kway Chap once a week, I would say this is one of the better ones around. The style is slightly different from many other famous Kway Chap places - the broth is lighter but very peppery and flavourful, the duck braising sauce is light and the duck is sliced into thin broad slices, less tender than many other places but deeper in flavour, the fish cake is excellent. Didn't try the pork / offal cos my wife is not a fan, and I didn't care too much for the Cai Buay (mustard Greens), but overall I really loved the Kway Chap and its broth (which I got a second helping of!).

Decent kway chap. Protion is generous . I opted for its yam rice and I am not disappointed. The rice is cook to the right mush with bits size yam in them. Fragrance and taste in good marriage. For the kway chap . Broth is light but pack with hints of spices. Intestine are process well. Pork and tofu passible . Chilli is done tangy and spicy. Very old school feel about this store. Overall a good option over here for lunch.

Duck is quite tough but flavorful. Braised pork is quite tender. Pork intestine is quite clean. Kway Chap is tasteless and salty. Overall the braised stuff is quite good and defintely above average

Kway Chap broth was light. Braise sauce was towards the peppery side and lacked any other fragrance. Braised duck meat was tough. Those aside, intestines were cleaned well. Chilli dip was good. Overall, a so-so kway chap at an affordable price.

Arrived at 10.40am hoping to beat the queue caused by the hordes of customers descending on this newly minted Bib Gourmand Kway Chap stall. Ended up the only customer there. Did a double take and checked the stall number. Yes Kelantan Kway Chap, 02-39. A single portion costs $5.00. Reasonable price these days. You get a plate of pork intestines, half a braise hard boil egg, pork belly, stomach, skin and fried bean curd. Plus a bowl of Kway. They offer two different chilli sauces, one more savoury, the other more sour, both packing a lot of heat. Try to dip your meat into different sauces to see which one works best for you. The intestines were well cleaned and has no gamely smell. But it is very mushy and lacks the chewiness compared with others. I liked the pork skin the best. The gelatinous skin was a delight to chew on and goes very well with either of the chilli sauces. The gravy has a stronger hint of cinnamon than others but otherwise quite normal too. The Kway was very smooth. Adding shallot oil gives it a different dimension of flavour. But after like 10 mins, you see the soup turning turbid and murky. And it lacks any flavour. You should add a dollop of the savoury chilli sauce to the soup. All in, I must say this is not bad but where is the wow?IMHO, I think the Michelin judges need to go try the other famous kway chap stalls in Singapore. And after they are done, go over to JB and try their Kway Teow Kia.

Recently announced that this stall won Michelin Bin Gourmand. Quite crowded around 12.30pm for lunch, and popular with locals (including office workers and oldies). Good value for money, worth a visit if you like this kind of food, but personally not that impressive.

Visited the stall due to the inclusion in the Bib Gourmand list. Was there on Sunday around 12pm. Queue only started to form after I ordered. Ordered 1 kway chap set ($5), 1 braised duck meat ($5), braised pig's trotter ($5.50) and pig's organ soup ($4.50) and 2 kway. Total $20.50 Unlike some of the reviews that mentioned about being not as flavourful, I personally find it to be at the right taste. Not too strong, just nice for a lunch. What others mentioned about the lack to flavour could be due to the fact that most of the ingredients are not soaked in the braised sauce. When eaten together with a bit of the braised sauce, it tasted just nice. Special mentioned for the stall is the Pig's Organ Soup. Although is a stall that sells braised meat and kway chap, the Pork's Organ Soup surprised me with the quality and generous amount of pig organs in it. The liver and meat was especially tender given that they're using the better quality part (not sure if is because I'm the lucky one). Last thing to mention is that unlike most of the food outside, after having my lunch here I didn't need to rush to some drink stalls to have a drink to quench my thirst. I think this says it all.
