★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You got to try this place not just because of its fame or it’s legacy, but also for its ability to dish out bowls and bowls of unassuming pig organ soup that has fed thousands and made many more well fed and happy!
This place serves a very special glutinous rice wrapped around pig offals which is extremely rare in Singapore (apparently the only one in Singapore still serving this painstakingly hand made dish)!
Go and try this food and you will not be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Soup tastes more like a lousy version of salted vegetables soup. No sweetness from the pork/ intestines in the soup. Jalan Besar’s Mun Chee Kee is so much better. Glutinous rice with sausage should be served warm in my opinion. Its just bland and chewy, really nothing to rave about. I’d rather have a factory made Peng kueh if I’m craving something chewy.
While I appreciate the hawker’s effort to clean and prepare the organs (yes it’s hard work) but it’s just, disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Pig’s organ soup in Tiong bahru. Owners are friendly and generous with the servings. Glutinous rice is a must try too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very fresh ingredients, soup was clear yet flavourful. Saw a Michelin 2019 sticker at the stall, highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A taste of old school Singapore. From the rice made slightly drier than usual, to the way the organs are cut and to the soup base of salted veg, this is old school heritage food indeed. You can get a refill of the soup if desired, just ask.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Original Tiong Bahru market stall still standing selling an unappreciated dish today. We know it as ‘Ter Huang Kiam Chye’ better than ‘Pig’s organ soup’, that name deters our Caucasian friends.
Soup is clean and clear with right amount of saltiness and all the ingredients are hygienically done. Super yummy and ultimate comfort food for just $4.50.
The original taste and goodness still remains after years and retired some older family members.
Those who cook know it takes painstaking skills to make this dish and can only be done with passion.
It’s heartwarming to see this stall with a young hawker in succession. Do support before it becomes another disappearing iconic dish in hawker scene.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the time of my visit a Bib Gourmand awarded hawker stall. Line of maybe 15 people but things move quickly, maybe 10 minutes waiting time for lunch. Took the $4,50 portion plus rice at an extra $0,50. Soup has a nice, clean taste to it. Some sweetness and umami from the intestines and salt flavors from the pickled veggies. For the fainthearted: The offal funk is kept to a bare minimum and u can always add some spicy sauce to ur intestines. Deffinitvely a nice meal and a good try for those looking for old school hawker food.
