A place to try many famous local dishes in a comfortable environment, or to take visitors who haven't adjusted to Singapore's humidity yet want to try local food. Decent portions, food is OK with the exception of the disappointing and flavourless nasi goreng.

Got the Oyster Omelette and the Frog Claypot Rice which was on the specials. Oyster Omelette was a really big serving with generous serving of oysters. Would recommend it for sharing among 3 or more. Frog Claypot rice could do with more charred and more salted fish. From the looks of it, the rice probably wasn’t cooked in the pot. Red ruby was good with enough coconut milk and the ruby had a good crunch to it. Service was great. Would recommend guest to get the table near the windows. Could see the fireworks at the Marina Bay during the National Day period.

Good food and good service. Beef was tender. Veggies fresh. Prawns were huge. Oyster omelette was tasty.

Delicious local food, good service, good price for the size of the portion, and vegetarian option available. Personally like fried carrot cake in dark sauce, signature laksa, and asparagus. Impressive meal. Serving breakfast buffet in the morning (no a la carte), a la carte menu for lunch and dinner.

Uptown cafe serving local cuisine. From satay, carrot cake, char kauy tiao to fish head curry. Love the fish head curry. It’s part of the hotel establishment, and if you are a club member, every Wednesday is 50% discount day. It gets a little noisy during peak hours but hey, it adds to the atmosphere of the kopitiam.

Thought it was closed at first but realised need to weave through the construction and it’s hidden at a corner. Luckily we asked concierge for directions. Service at the restaurant was great with servers topping up our water frequently however one major drawback was that we waited at least 30 mins for our food. The restaurant was not even half full at that time. I appreciate that the chef would want to make it as good as possible and the food was indeed quite up to local standards, but the wait is not good for lunchtime. Had the duck mee sua and laksa, both had ample ingredients and flavourful broth. Used entertainer vouchers for this, good value for money. They provide complimentary water as well.

Had lunch here today with my colleagues and enjoyed it for the most part. Fish head curry, however was not sour enough and not salty enough. I liked the prawn paste chicken and salted egg calamari. Babi Pongteh was soso. Service was pleasant

The seafood hor fun was good. it had large prawns, scallops but was a pity the fish slices tasted odd, not fresh. The salted egg calamari was very good, nicely seasoned and batter was not too thick. Beef and lamb satay was good too. They had allowed us to mix two different types of meat. Three dishes - $65.99. We used a chope voucher to offset some value. Good service.
